This past weekend the top U16 ski racers from across NY State met up at West Mountain to battle for 🏆podium spots🏆 and the opportunity to race at 🏔️The Eastern Championships🏔️ in Sugarloaf, ME. Please give it up for 👏🏼 Ella G. + Bobby M. 👏🏼 who are packing their bags to head North in two weekends.

Joining them from the U14 HVRT crew is an athlete that has the most amazing ability to come 🤌🏽 this close to the edge, and pulls out amazing agility to keep both skis heading downhill 💨. Westin P. will represent the U14 Boys in Maine 🦞 and we couldn’t be more excited!!
With over 130 boys from Ellicottville to the Catskills, Whiteface and many mountains in between, we are so thrilled for Will A. + Zach D. to head to Gunstock, NH this weekend after exceptional skiing at States for Super G, GS + SL. Our athletes battled some crazy cold and snowy conditions one weekend and slushy, 65 ☀️ degree days the next! Wishing Will + Zach an amazing experience at Piche!

Back home in Ellicottville, the HVRT U14 Men had a solid day taking on early AM rain, followed by bright sun and warm temps, soft, spring like snow and a windy rain storm to wrap up the awards ceremony. Despite many DNFs, our HVRT crew kept two skis down and finished strong today. Huge congrats to Westin P. with a 6th overall finish, Zach D. securing 10th and Will A. close behind at 13th. Absolutely proud of our boys, their families and the entire team that came out to cheer at the bottom of Wild Turkey.

☀️ As we wrap up February ❤️ and welcome March ☘️, the U8/U10/U12 athletes have been making turns at SX hosted by on Saturday, and bringing the speed to on Sunday. Mid week shout out to our U16/U18 athletes that qualified and attended EMPIRE STATE WINTER GAMES this past weekend at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid. 🥉 HVRT’s Bobby Marshall took 3rd place in GS 🙌🏼 Despite challenging Nor’Easter snow conditions ❄️ that impacted travel, training and racing, these athletes showed up and 🌟 shined! WHAT A YEAR for our U14’s!! This was an absolutely epic State Championships for our U14 boys and girls!! 5 Total races, and HVRT took 🥇 in 3 of them and had at least one podium in the other 2!!! We have 2 girls and 2 boys headed to Eastern Championships and 2 boys moving into Piche!!! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!

Thank you to all the coaches, parents, resorts hosting events, and all other support staff that has made this possible for our racers!! 🥰🥰
