Shiners Base Ball Club of Rockingham was established Elkton, VA to play baseball by the rules of 1864, as adopted by the National Association of Base-Ball Players.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out this past Saturday to support the Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation’s Vintage Base Ball event in Middletown! It was a wonderful day of historic fun, community spirit, and appreciation for our shared heritage.

Because of your generosity and support, we are proud to share that we raised over $1,300 to benefit ongoing land preservation efforts at Cedar Creek Battlefield.

After the roaring success of last year's Vintage Base Ball Festival, it's back by popular demand!

The Middletown Maulers will face off against the Shiners Base Ball Club of Rockingham in a throwback match played by 1864 rules!

Come on out and see the vintage base ball (two words) playing Shiners of Rockingham in action, as members from the newly formed Olympus Base Ball Club join us for a friendly match to prepare us for our 2026 campaign.
