We had another great honey harvest this year! Our honeybees produced 288 pounds of the best tasting honey around.

Every year our chapter beekeeper and President presents a jar of honey to the MANY Dragoon Trail Chapter IWLA members who volunteer countless hours of their time and energy conducting chapter operations. It's a small token of our appreciation - and a simple "Thank You" for all they do.

Other jars of honey are provided to our neighbors who put up with the noise, lights, and traffic our 950+ member club makes. Any leftover honey is sold to members, with funds going to the purchase of bees and equipment for the seasons ahead.

Ankeny Izaak Walton League Fall Trap League!

Our Fall Trap League will kick off with a mandatory orientation at the chapter house on September 1, 2026, at 6:30 pm. League nights will be held on Thursdays with an early group (6:00 pm) and a late group (7:00 pm).

$10 of every registration will go into a Lewis Purse, 4 classes, 60-40%, ties divide, based on total score across all weeks. Lewis always pays out to high scorer; the rest of the purse is basically luck of the draw. We will also have several door prizes on the final night. In addition, we will award the league’s top squad.

No team? No problem. We will assign individuals to teams who don’t have a team at time of registration. Handicap is used to balance the field based on ability.

Due to the unprecedented storm, the bays are severely flooded. In an effort to preserve the bays and not do more damage, the entire facility will remain closed through Wednesday, 7/8/2026. The Board will meet Wednesday night and make a determination when to re-open.

Additionally, the Election of Board members has been postponed until Tuesday,7/14/2026 from 4:00-8:00 at the chapter house.

Update: The range will be closed on Saturday, and will remain closed until further notice due to extensive flooding.
