This mitten season is going to be different. I am only participating in one event. I will be in Evanston for the St. Nick's Craft Fair on December 6th, 8am-4:00pm.

I have made over 1,000 pairs of Hand Snuggle Mittens over the last 10 years. I love taking parts of different wool sweaters, joing them to make a colorful pair of mittens. I love running my hands over bolts of fleece to find the softest fleece for my linings. I love bringing the finished product to craft fairs where I meet the most wonderful people.
It has touched my heart to see a son or daughter with their Dad, picking out a pair of mittens for their Mom's birthday. Folks buying mittens for an elderly parent whose hands are cold throughout the day. Moms buying mittens for their college student who freezes walking to classes. Teachers who tell me that Hand Snuggle Mittens are the only thing that keep their hands warm while on the playground. Dog walkers, commuters, parents who sit through their children's soccer and football games. It has been a pleasure to provide these people with a product that does what it was made to do.

St. Nick's Craft Fair in Evanston was a great event!
It was so good to see folks who have been buying Hand Snuggle Mittens for years and those who bought their first pair last year, come up to my table to say hello. What a blessing!
43 new pairs of Hand Snuggle Mittens will be keeping 86 hands warm this winter!

All Hand Snuggle Mittens are made from repurposed Wool sweaters and lined will soft, no-pill Fleece. Cluck on each picture for short description and size.

I thought retirement meant I would have more time to sew. I'm busier now than I was when I was working! Unfortunately, I had to pass on the Elk Grove Village H.S craft fair last week. However, in the last week I have made 35 pairs of Hand Snuggle Mittens and I am ready for the Willowbrook High School Craft Fair! It happens this Saturday, Nov. 9th, 9:00-3:00. The address is 1250 Ardmore Avenue in Villa Park. Hope to see you there!

Happy Fall, ya'll!
I had a fun Summer and I hope you did, too! This Summer didn't disappoint with birthday celebrations, beautiful weather for the Fourth, plenty of pool time and lots of laughter with family.
There was a downside to the season that no one was really ready for. I had 4 "granddogs" owned by my 3 adult daughters and their families. They ranged in age from 14 to 18 years old. One daughter lost her precious Maggie in July, one daughter lost both her precious darlings, Bonnie and Ryo, in July and August. My oldest daughter lost her precious boy Finnegan in September. They all passed from natural causes in the space of 2 1/2 months!
We now have the next generation of puppies, Hazel, Sunshine, Gracie and Remi. I'm glad my girls didn't wait too long to rescue again. They all have so much love to give!
