The Wirt County Sports Hall of Fame was founded to preserve the rich history of our hometown and honor the athletes who have brought pride to our community. We celebrate the men and women whose talent, dedication, and sportsmanship have left a lasting mark on Wirt County athletics. By remembering their achievements, we keep their stories alive, inspiring future generations to strive for excellence both on and off the field. Folks, so today the Wirt County Sports Hall of Fame committee met today and voted on the class of 2026. The job was a tough one as the list of nominees was a long and distinguished one. The list is as follows

Folks, we are 12 days from the induction of the third class of the Wirt County Sports Hall of Fame. Sept 5th just prior to the Home football game which starts at 7:00, so we will begin promptly at 6:45. Hope to see everyone there to celebrate this great class of Wirt County Athletes!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that I get to announce the 2025 class of the Wirt County Sports Hall of Fame. This is yet another fantastic class and they deserve to be honored. The list is as follows:

As I stated this is a wonderful class of worthy inductees. The ceremony will be held September 5 2025 just prior to the home football game.
