In Quarter midget racing tires play a big role to a successful time on the track. Come with me as I clean up a tire that just came off the track. In the past few months I have helped several families learn how to scrape and prep tires properly for a second or third use who had never seen the process. I made this video with my new DJI Osmo 5 action camera to show yall how to prepare a raced tire for a second use. If you have any tips or tricks please leave them in the comments.

🚨🔥 TURN THE SOUND UP — YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS THIS! 🔥🚨🏁 Kayne cleaned house this weekend! 🏁

It was the season opener at Lone Star .25, where Kayne debuted in THREE new classes — 🏎️ Heavy Honda, 🏎️ Heavy 160, and 🏎️ Unrestricted Animal — and brought home the win in all three heat races AND all three A-Mains! 🏆🏆🏆

💥 Heavy Honda had everyone on their feet, laughing, cheering, and enjoying some intense racing.💥 In Heavy 160, Kayne went from leading… to the back of the pack after losing a left-rear wheel on the track… then charged all the way back to the front to take the win! 💪The number of people who came over to compliment his driving — especially his clean passes — meant a lot to us. Thank you all! 🙏

🚚 After loading up, we headed to Austin for Kayne’s first official BMX race of the season at Capitol City BMX.🚲 He won all three motos, earning 🥇 1st place overall in the 9-year-old Novice class.

❤️ A huge THANK YOU to all the volunteers who make these events possible and keep them fun and safe for the kids — places where they can compete, grow, build friendships, and make lifelong memories.

✝️ Thank you to for Christ for supporting the young racers. Starting the day with group prayer is something we truly appreciate, and we hope it continues throughout the season.

🙌 Special appreciation to James Higdon and Becca Higdon for the enormous effort and personal sacrifice they pour into making this event what it is — and for handling all the challenges that come with it.

🙌 Thank you, Lone Star .25, and to the many people who jumped in to help us in the pits — from spare parts to lending a hand with tire prep. We couldn’t do it without this amazing community.

What an incredible experience and accomplishment!

This was my inaugural visit to Las Vegas to participate in the Silver City Winter Nationals. As only my third-ever parking lot race and my first time competing against the nation's top contenders, the competition was exceptionally fierce. I secured second place at the starting line and briefly dropped to fourth before making a strategic move to the inside line. If only we had a dew more laps we were moving, we had the fastest Jr Honda in the A main. My team and I are ecstatic to have achieved a second-place finish and a podium spot, culminating in the opportunity to bring a slot machine back to Texas. As I depart, I am grateful for the invaluable knowledge and cherished memories that I have gained. I extend my sincerest gratitude to Midwest Suspension Co. for their guidance and mentorship, which has not only made me feel part of their family but also instilled in me the determination to push beyond my limits. The lessons I have learned will undoubtedly serve as a foundation for my future growth and development.

Kayne came out swinging this Memorial Day weekend at the River City QMA double header, and he didn’t just race—he swept the entire Junior field, taking 1st place in all 9 of his races!

The Jr.160 and Jr. Animal cars were fast, but where Kayne really turned heads was in his Jr.120. With a fresh set of shocks from Midwest Suspensions—built by Nick and installed Friday night—the car was dialed in perfectly. From the in-car footage, it’s clear: it handled like it was on rails.

Couldn’t have asked for a better way to cap off the weekend. Way to go, Kayne! Huge shoutout to everyone at RCQMA who worked hard to put together such an awesome event—it truly paid off.

Special thanks to:

🏁 Welcome to My Racing Journey! 🏁

Hey everyone! My name is Kayne Kubosh, but you may also know me as The 512 Kid! My passion for racing started at a very young age, first in highly modified Power Wheels that my dad and I built together. From ages 4 to 5, I raced all over Texas and Oklahoma, competing in events that fueled my love for speed and competition. During these two years, some of my greatest memories were racing at Cotton Bowl Speedway, where my passion for racing on dirt was planted.

Some of my favorite moments include winning the Texas Grand at 105 Speedway and earning back-to-back victories at the Central Texas State Fair. But what made those experiences even more special was bringing around 10, sometimes more, extra cars to these races, giving other kids the chance to get behind the wheel and create unforgettable memories. Seeing their excitement was just as rewarding as winning—for both my dad and me!

At age 5, I took the next step in my racing career, joining River City Quarter Midgets in Austin, Texas, where I trained under Chris Quilty and officially became a NASCAR Youth Series Competitor. Since then, I’ve raced across Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma, picking up a lot of wins and recently finishing the season as the Texas Jr. 120, Jr. 160, and Jr. Animal NASCAR Youth Series Champion!

As I kick off 2025, I’ve taken on an additional role—helping my dad train new rookie drivers as they begin their journey into the sport. From mastering the fundamentals to understanding race strategy, I’m excited to share everything I’ve learned over the years. Guiding these young racers as they build their skills, gain confidence, and develop a true passion for the sport has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Watching them take their first laps and improve with each race, I can’t wait to see them grow—not just as drivers and competitors, but also as friends!

I’ll be sharing race updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and everything in between. I hope you’ll follow along as I continue chasing my dreams and pushing myself to the next level!

🚀 This is just the beginning! See you at the track! 🏁🔥
