— FOR SALE —

$150

This is a 15 speed mountain bike

Original owner used it for many years. It rides great, gears work, brakes work. 26 inch tires are good and hold air as they should. Seat was upgraded along the way and it’s in great condition.

Generator works well, rear light probably needs a new bulb front one is fine when I rode it

One thing missing is someone to ride it.

This is a great bike and it has many years left in it.

You will probably not find another one that came from Germany.

I will deliver within 15 miles of Polo Road Columbia SC. Or it can be a porch pick up.

Shipping can be arranged but that would be an extra cost to the buyer.

If you are interested in buying this please let me know.

I live off of Polo Road Columbia 29223

Asking price is listed, message me if you have any questions .

1902 (The Three-Speed Revolution): In the early 1900s, internal multi-gear systems emerged to eliminate single-gear limitations. The Sturmey-Archer 3-speed hub allowed riders to tackle hills efficiently for the first time. This paved the way for modern derailleur mechanisms.

2026 Walk to End Alzheimer's
Saturday, October 10, 2026
Columbia SC

My mom would have been 90 this year. Alzheimer’s took so much from her — piece by piece. I’ve had family and friends face this disease too. It changes people, it breaks hearts, and it leaves families wishing for just one more clear moment. Almost all of us know someone who’s been touched by Alzheimer’s, and I pray a cure comes in my lifetime.

For years, I’ve raised money so the Alzheimer’s Association can keep fighting — through research, support, and hope.

Even the amount you might spend on a cold drink or lunch can help move that fight forward. Truly, every single dollar matters.

If you feel moved to give, please follow the link below to donate or learn more about the walk on my team page.

On August 15, 1890s-era “Wheelwomen” were reshaping American culture

While not a single one‑day event, museums highlight that around this date in the 1890s, the rise of the safety bicycle was giving women unprecedented independence. This movement is often commemorated on August 15 through historical programs, like the Smithsonian’s “Meet the Wheelwoman,” which explains how bicycles helped women push for practical clothing, better roads, and even voting rights. National Mus...

Why this matters

The safety bicycle (with equal‑sized wheels and a chain drive) became widely popular in the early 1890s. By August of those years, newspapers across the U.S. were reporting on women cyclists gaining mobility, forming riding clubs, and challenging social norms. Today’s museums use August 15 programs to honor that era.
