We start with Michael Jordan's rookie year. He scored more total points than any player in the NBA in his rookie year with 2,313 points. Jordan was third in scoring average at 28.2 a game but unlike Bernard King and Larry Bird, Michael Jordan actually played all 82 games. King only played 55 games and bird played 80.
Take this into consideration when you're trying to find out who the greatest player of all time is: he scored more points than anyone in the whole NBA in his first season! What did the very hard to impress Larry Bird say about Jordan and during Michael's rookie year?
