Ed Thomas was attending EIU, needed extra income and felt Charleston could use another quality bike shop and thus, Bike & Hike Charleston was born. The two shops have continued to grow and evolve over the last 20 years to provide much more than just a bicycle, but an experience of what a bike can do for the family and the community. The biking industry continues to grow and flourish as the Baby Boomers are looking for means to get out and get in shape and have fun and we are honored to help keep that momentum moving forward. When in comes to cycling, whether it be for racing or just pure cruising enjoyment around the neighborhood, we can help and look forward to serving each and every one of you. Enjoy the ride!

Special shout out to Jasmine who drove all the way from Chicago to get her new Trek 50 special edition Trek Madone SL. Trek is celebrating 50 years and decided to do a super cool commemorative edition, highlighting many things they have done since 1976.

Congrats to Jasmine on the new Madone and we you hope you enjoy it and it carries you thousands of miles!

As a bicycle shop, we know we’ll receive plenty of questions about these changes. We wanted to begin sharing reliable information now, before the law takes effect, so our customers and community can be informed and prepared.
