Thank you to all of the families and Athletes that came out to support or 3rd Annual Spring Bash and congratulations to those that took home some hardware. We had 80 Athletes take the line in a very competitive field of Athletes.

Good Luck to all the shooters who will be Shooting Illinois High School State next weekend or the US Open.

Our Next Tournament will be October 3rd Location TBD. Registration will open Beginning to Mid August. If you would like to be the first to know when registration opens Email Coach Fulk at [email protected] and you’ll be the first to know.

3rd Annual Lake Land College Jr./Sr. High School Spring Bash Trap Shoot is this weekend at Effingham Sportsmans Club. We are excited to host this highly competitive field of 80 athletes as many top shooters will be there from both 1A and 2A in Illinois State High School Clay Target League and very competitive AIM/ATA Shooters. As some of these shooters are preparing for the US Open and/or Illinois State High School Clay Target League State competition.

If you registered yourself please check your email for squading time and practice schedule. If your team coach registered you they have the email with squading and score information. We look forward to seeing everyone Friday 5-8pm evening for practice or Saturday for the event.

Saturday Schedule:
7:45am- National Anthem, Fellowship of Christian Athletes ( Greater Effingham Area FCA Kyle Stortzum), and Recognition of Lake Land College Clay Target team 2025-26 for Spring 26 and year achievements.

8:00am Sharp- West Field Squad 1 (after 2, 3......7, 8) and East Field Squad 16 (After 16 will be 12,13,14,15,11,17 and 18 for first 50 as we are adjusting for a duel sport athlete)

After first 50 is in we will take a Tournament picture at the West Trap

2nd round will start promptly after picture. Goal is to be starting shoot offs and/or awards by 4:15~4:30pm

New Record set Career singles avg. Austin Carlen ends his Lake Land College Clay Target Team Career with a 95.87% avg hitting 2924 out of 3050 career targets raising the bar slightly from previous record of 95.73 set last year by Ethan Heuerman.

Lakers Final Shot 2025-26
Every year as a team and coach we end our final score night and sophomore night with a final shot. All athletes to the line as Coach calls for the target then at that time all athletes fire to break the last target on our home field together to signify the final days of that team.

This year the team decided to throw a new addition some swapped equipment with a fellow teammate to shoot the last target.

This may be their last target with us but we wish our sophomores well as they enter the workforce. We hope to catch them on the line in the future.

🥈Our inaugural S***t season was a success Bringing home a 2nd place Team conference trophy for our first S***t season....

🥈Our inaugural S***t season was a success Bringing home a 2nd place Team conference trophy for our first S***t season. This means Lake Land College has successfully secured the 2nd or 1st place trophy in conference play for every discipline shot over our first 3 years…. 7 conference trophies in all right next 2 those 2 Runner-up National team trophies 🏆

On to the individual side 4 of 5 s***t shooters leave marks on the individual lists

On the Male side Individual recognition Collin Hewing finished with a 24.1 avg placing him 2nd overall in the entire league and in top 10 male in league and conference. Rounding out the top 10 in conference male in 9th Kyle Coats and in 10th Austin Carlen.

On the Female side the lone Lady Laker Hali Kreke held her own placing Tied for 7th overall Female in the league and 5th in conference.

Congratulations to our team in their inaugural s***t season.

🧹 Clean Sweep in Spring 2026 Conference 3 Trap for the Lakers leading all 5 weeks of competition as the Lakers take 1st Team in conference as they wrap up their 2025-26 Target seasons.🧹

On the top 10 in Female category of the league 3 Lakers make the list Climbing up to 6th place Ellie Hagen and rounding out the list in a 3 way tie for 9th Madelyn Coats and Taylar Mercer.

In the conference standings 9 of the 10 Lakers made the top 10 Male or Female lists. On the Male side Collin Hewing lands at 3rd with a 24.0 avg in the awards, while 4 other lakers finish close behind Brandon Himes finishes at 5th with a 23.8 avg, Austin Carlen and Garrett Hoene tie at the 6 spot with a 23.5 avg and rounding out the top 10 list for the lakers Kyle Coats in a 4 way tie for 10th at 23.1 avg.

On to the female category for conference ALL 4 Lady Lakers made the top 10 starting is off wit Ellie Hagen at the top spot of 1st Female in conference after a perfect round 50/50 in the final week at a 23.9 avg, next 2 finished in a 3 way tie for 2nd with Madelyn Coats and Taylar Mercer coming in at 22.9 avg., and last but not least Hali Kreke coming in 6th place with a 22.6 as the lady Lakers locked in to continue to take top spots each season.
