⚾️🖤❤️ STATE TOURNAMENT RECAP – DIAMOND DAWGS 7U ❤️🖤⚾️
What a day for these young men.
The scoreboard didn’t end the way we wanted, but today was about so much more than wins and losses. The boys went 1-2 on the day. The Dawgs battled through three games in the Oklahoma summer heat, competing in temperatures pushing 95 degrees against some very talented teams in the USSSA State Tournament.
In our opening game, we played some of the best defensive baseball we’ve played all season and lost by 1 run in the 6th inning! The effort, focus, and teamwork on the field were incredible to watch. While the bats never quite got going consistently throughout the day, these boys never stopped competing.
By the third game of the day, after hours in the heat and back-to-back games, the tank was running low. But even then, our Dawgs kept fighting, kept swinging, and kept representing our team, families, sponsors and community the right way.
As coaches, we couldn’t be more proud of this group. They showed heart, toughness, resilience, and sportsmanship all day long. Those are the things that matter most and the things that will continue to help them grow as players and young men.
A huge thank you to our parents, families, and supporters who spent their Saturday cheering us on in the heat. Your support means everything.
We’ll learn from today, get back to work, and be ready for what’s next.
