Dropped a tough 1 today against the 1st place team. 4-1. Our pitchers pitched a great game today. The score was 1-0 going into the 4th inning. Then 1 in the 4th, 5th, and 6th. Our bats started out slow but started to wake up in the last couple innings. The other team made some great plays to stop us.
We got the 1st round of the playoffs at home next week against the 6th seed.

Your Edison 8U clinched at least 3rd place in the USABL travel league. The team ahead of us needs to lose their last 2 games for us to move into 2nd place. If we finish 3rd we have home field advantage 1st round of the playoffs June 7th. If we move into 2nd we have home field advantage up until the finals.

I am very proud to be the manager of this Edison 8U team. Down 7-1 going into the bottom of the 4th inning. They put up 5 runs. Our pitcher shut down the other team giving up no runs. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. We come up and get the 1st 2 runners on 2nd and 3rd. Then our 5 batter hits a hot shot that scores the 2 runs to walk the other team off for the W.
This team showed a ton of grit and never gave up.
