🐾 A small ask!

We love seeing dogs out on the trails — honestly, it makes our days better. But we've been getting more reports of off-leash dogs surprising other trail users, and a few close calls that could've gone sideways.
So here's the ask: please keep your pup leashed at the park. It's the rule, but more importantly it's just good trail karma — for other hikers, riders, families with kids, and even other dogs who may not be as friendly as yours.
Thanks for helping keep North Fork Weber Co. Parks and Recreation a great place for everyone (two-legged and four). 🐶

⚠️ Trail Closure Alert — Spork
We'll be closing Spork this Monday 6/1/2026 morning from approximately 9–11am for trail maintenance. Our crew will be trimming the entrance to improve sightlines and make it safer for everyone.
Please help us out by staying off the trail during that window. It creates a real safety hazard when riders come up behind crew members operating loud power tools — we simply can't hear you coming.
We appreciate your patience. It'll be worth it! ✂️🌿

**Shout Out to EVT & Volunteers! 🙌**

Ever wonder how all that deadfall disappears so fast? You report a downed tree on your ride, and the next day it's just... gone. 🪵✨

That doesn't happen by magic — it happens because of amazing volunteers like Dave S., who is always quick to jump on trail issues, and our friends at Eden Valley Trails , who bring the muscle for the big cleanup projects.

These folks put in serious time and effort to keep the trails clear and rideable for all of us. We are incredibly grateful for everything they do.

**NF Trail Conditions – Please Stay Off Trails This Morning!**

We're asking riders to hold off on hitting the trails until later this afternoon. Here's why:

The weather station at North Fork recorded a quarter inch of rain yesterday, followed by a freeze overnight. That freeze/thaw cycle means the trails are muddy and soft right now as they thaw out. Riding on wet, soft trails causes serious damage — ruts and trail damage that affect everyone. We expect conditions to improve significantly this afternoon once things dry out, so please be patient!

Want to check conditions before you head out? Bookmark this weather station link for North Fork:
https://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman/meso_base.cgi?stn=SNFEC&unit=0&time=LOCAL&year1=2026&month1=5&day1=6&hour1=8&hours=24&graph=0&past=0

It shows temperature, rainfall totals, and other data that can help you decide whether it's a good day to ride. And if you ride other areas in Weber County, there are weather stations covering those too — including one at Snowbasin — so you can make smart trail decisions wherever you're headed.

Thanks for helping keep the trails in great shape for everyone! 🙌

🥳🚵🤩 May 4. Everything is open except for Moose Tracks! Hopefully we can get at least the south half of that open by the end of the week. But with the rain tomorrow and how soft it still is we need to keep it closed so the horses don't damage it. Come and enjoy!!

⚠️ Trail Conditions Update ⚠️

After nearly 1.5" of rain Sunday and Monday plus freezing overnight temps, the trails are going to need some time to dry out.

🌧️ Morning rides: Expect muddy conditions — please stay off.
🌤️ Afternoon rides: Open trails should be good to go by late afternoon once they've had a chance to drain and dry.

As always, if it's too muddy to ride without leaving a rut, it's too muddy to ride. Thanks for looking out for the trails! 🙌
