The Lyons season came to an end with a 1-0 loss to Muhlenberg in the regional semifinals. What a great defensive effort it was but fell short!

I am so proud of every single one of these boys. Each player improved so much this season. I can’t wait to see what they do in the future!

To all my 8th graders this season … i hope it was as memorable of a season for you as it was for me. Thank you for your leadership and hard work! ⚽️⚽️⚽️

The Lyons finished as the runner-up in the district tournament last night, losing 2-1 in double OT vs. Webster. What an incredible almost 70 minutes of soccer we put together.

I am so proud of these boys!! That’s an understatement, but I’m lucky to call them my team. They are truly a special, hardworking group.

No time to waste now as we are back in action tonight in the regional tournament semifinals vs. Muhlenberg (which will be played at UHA). Let’s gooooooo boys!

The MS Soccer District Championship game is tonight at 7:00 at Hopkins Central (vs. Webster Co.). Be sure to come and cheer on the boys!

Last night, the boys played in the district tournament semifinal game and boy, did they come to play!!! The Lyons turned in a dominant performance from opening to final whistle. I am so proud of these kids. 🙂🙂

Goals: Isaac Coomer (2), Scout Stewart, & Edgar Caratachea

Assists: Scout Stewart (2), Cohen Scott

Saves: Cole Fritts (4)

The defense and GK shut down Trigg the whole game with very few shots allowed.

Next game is vs. Webster Co. tonight in the district championship (barring weather-related activities on the way). Go Lyons!

FYI for any rising 7th-12th grade boy interested in HS soccer ⚽️!

This is also the new LCHS Boys Soccer page to follow.

We will have a meeting on Sunday, May 3 at 3:00PM. This is a chance to meet the new head coach and staff, get info on the coming season, and finish with some scrimmage time (so bring cleats and shin guards)!

This meeting is for rising 7th-12th grade boys, both JV and Varsity.

The Lyons closed out the regular season district schedule last night with a 2-0 home win vs. Caldwell. The boys finished the season 6-1 in district play.

Goals: Isaac Coomer (on a beautiful header), Edgar Caratachea.

Assists: Conner Lamb, Scout Stewart

The GK (Cole Fritts) and entire defense overall played great, getting another shutout under our belt!

Next up is a friendly match Thursday evening at Muhlenberg, followed by the District Tournament next week!

So proud of these boys and the hard work they’re putting in! Go Lyons!
