Strong Showing From Both Offenses In Northampton Varsity Yellow Jackets Loss To Chincoteague Varsity Ponies

Northampton Varsity Yellow Jackets's bats were strong against Chincoteague Varsity Ponies on Monday, but it wasn't enough as Northampton Varsity Yellow Jackets fell 21-13. Chincoteague Varsity Ponies collected 20 hits, while Northampton Varsity Yellow Jackets had 14.
Chincoteague Varsity Ponies were the first to get on the board in the first when Ginny Sawyer singled, scoring one run.
Northampton Varsity Yellow Jackets took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Ryleigh Caison 2028 flew out, and Chincoteague Varsity Ponies committed an error, each scoring one run.
Chincoteague Varsity Ponies took the lead in the top of the second inning after Cheyenne Britton singled to center field, and Laila Custer singled, each scoring one run.

Temich 2028 led things off in the circle for Northampton Varsity Yellow Jackets. The right-handed pitcher surrendered 20 hits and 21 runs (seven earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Stadler stepped in the circle first for Chincoteague Varsity Ponies. The righty allowed 14 hits and 13 runs (11 earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 11 and walking four.
