Our website developer Marcus Collins and Mass Hurricanes staff is looking for some feedback on our site in progress. Were looking to be cutting edge and diffrent.
What are some of the things that would be important to you as a family, player, and outsider looking to join our program?

PLEASE VIEW THIS SITE ON A DESKTOP COMPUTER. The mobile version will be the next phase of development, so what you see on a phone right now will not accurately represent the finished experience.
I also want to emphasize that this site is very much in its early stages and should not be considered a finished product. There is still a significant amount of content, functionality, and refinement to come.
I should probably warn you about one thing, though: I design websites to be a visual experience.
When I started building this for the Mass Hurricanes, I didn't want to create another typical club softball website. I wanted to build something that immediately separated the Mass Hurricanes from everyone else — the lion amongst the lambs. Something bold, powerful and unmistakably Hurricanes.
I think we're well on our way.
And what you're seeing now is only the foundation.
Our Showcase teams will have dedicated pages built specifically with recruiting in mind. College coaches and scouts will be able to visit the site, select a SCOUT button and quickly access the information they need about individual players. I'll be speaking directly with our Showcase athletes in September as we begin building out that portion of the site.
Our coaching staff will also have a dedicated presence. Coaches will have professional bios, consistent presentation and imagery, and everyone will be photographed representing the Hurricanes in Hurricanes gear. The goal is for the entire organization to look as unified and professional online as it is on the field.
Our specialized trainers will be featured as another major part of the Hurricanes experience. Their profiles will connect directly to their training schedules, allowing families to see the additional development opportunities available to our athletes. To someone considering the Hurricanes, that immediately communicates the level of resources and specialized instruction this organization provides.
Every team will eventually have its own page, giving players, families and visitors a dedicated place for team-specific information.
We'll also be building a Spotlight page where we can recognize our athletes, accomplishments and the people and moments that make this organization what it is.
There is a lot still coming.
