After getting home after 12:30 am from St C, the JV team traveled to West Branch yesterday morning for a game against the Warriors. Facing multiple adversities, this team competed hard and left everything on the field, eventually falling 21-8. Very proud of this group of young men!! GO BEAVERS!

Great win Friday night against St Clairsville 35-21! In the first three weeks this team has established three firsts in school history - 1st win over Crestview, 1st win v Weetern Beaver and 1st win in St Clairsville. On to the next game. GO BEAVERS!

Last night we were fortunate to have Beaver Local alumni and successful business partners Mike Barber and Jared Williams speak to the team on the importance of teamwork and the success related to teamwork. Both were phenomenal speakers and we greatly appreciate all of the support they provide for Beaver Local Football!

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio - Beaver Local High School has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best High Schools in America in the 2026-2027 rankings.

Beaver Local High School earned the following distinctions:
#1 high school in the Salem Metro Area

#116 in Ohio (690 Schools)
Top 17% of high schools in the state

#2,840 in the Nation (18,000 plus schools in Nation)
Top 16% of high schools in America

U.S. News changed/expanded the way it presents the rankings, and the rankings are based on six measures:
College readiness — 30%
State assessment proficiency — 20%
State assessment performance — 20%
College curriculum breadth — 10%
Underserved student performance — 10%
Graduation rate — 10%

In honor of breast cancer awareness month, the football team is planning a recognition night for the Oct 9 game against Indian Creek. In preparation for this, we are working to get commemorative jerseys for the players and cheerleaders to wear that night. We are looking for sponsors for these jerseys - the cost is $40/Jersey and you can put your name or the name of a loved one on the sleeves - similar to our military jerseys. These jerseys will remain with the team to wear for future seasons. If interested please contact Mike Curran at (330) 383-5091.
