Litchfield Wrestling Foundation We seek to promote the achievements of our athletes, and to assist the coaches and staff in the growth and development of the sport within our community.

The Litchfield Wrestling Foundation (LWF) is a charitable, 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization which supports and encourages community interest in and growth of the Litchfield, IL wrestling programs at all levels. The lessons learned through wrestling of setting goals, working hard, maintaining priorities, bouncing back, and playing fair prepare our athletes for whatever life throw will at them. Help us grow the sport that turns young men and women into champions in life.

7 of your Litchfield Wrestling athletes travelled to Branson, MO to saddle up for the Cowboy Rumble.

Individual tournament results Morning session:

Owen Pryor and Greyson Short both took 5th place.

Penelope Cox took 4th place
Layla Short 2nd place

Stella Cox 1st place championship belt

Kendall Short buried 2 state champs to earn her championship belt first defeating the Wisconsin State champ
7-1 in the semi finals before dominating the Oklahoma state champ 10-5 for the belt.

In the afternoon session Rilynn Younker took 2nd in the girls high school freestyle division and earned another championship belt in the women’s and college open division

Unfortunately Rhinos tournament came to an end today. She finished 3-2 and the top 32 of a 128 wrestler bracket.

We are extremely proud of her efforts and dedication to even get to Fargo and do what she loves.

Litchfield, your girl is back in the W column after a dominating 12-1 victory over New York. The Rhino is one of 32 remaining wrestlers in the field of 128.

She will wrestle again consolation round of 16 in appx 1 hour.

Best of luck and safe travels to Litchfield Wrestling’s Rilynn Younker. Younker and the rest of her Illinois National Team have been at training camp at the U of I Champaign since Sunday and departed this morning via bus on their way to Fargo, ND for the worlds largest youth wrestling tournament - Fargo Nationals.
