Today marked the last day of the 10U Cal Ripken World Series in Vincennes Indiana. Free-Lake fell short to Lineville Alabama finishing 2nd in the Iron Man Championship. Hawaii Kai beat Manoa HI for the World Championship.
Cay Rasar won player of the game after a big double that scored Araujo.
After 8 days of play and 80 games, including 24 teams....Rasar finished with the 10th best average in the World Series .550 and DeTerra finished with the most put-outs with 45.
The team made the most out of their experience being able to play 8 games, trade pins and hats, make friends with staff and umpires, meet fellow players from all around the world, were the only team to participate in the Buddy Ball game, have dance offs, team dinners, ice cream social and so much more.
A true never forget memory for the players, their families and friends.

What an exciting game today from the Free-Lake boys!! The team faced Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 in the Semi Final of the Iron Man Championship bracket, winning the game 8-4!!
Tyrus Araujo pitched 4.1 innings including 9 K's keeping the team in it. Followed up by Cay Rasar closing it out.
On offense Brady DeTerra went 2-2 with 3 RBI's and 2 walks. Rasar went 2-2 with 3 runs scored. Sass, Lewis, Rezendes, Muse all collected hits. Christian Vareika had a huge day with 2 hits and scored a run ⚾️ It was a well played tough game. Ben Badurina was flawless reading the sportmanship code!!
The team now faces Lineville Alabama tomorrow in the Championship at 11am. The final day of the World Series is tomorrow....let's go Free-Lake!! ⚾️
