Been playing around a little bit with some new color ideas before I dive hard into sanding. What you all think ? These are just some rough ideas I quickly painted up so they are a Lil crude . Also its before epoxy so it'll realy pop after.

A few things I learned this year while building .....
1.) Its a lot nicer to cut blanks, plane, sand etc. Out side rather then in my shop. Much easier to grab the backpack leaf blower and blow everything into the woods.
2.) During all sanding and cutting while wearing a mask or respirator is alot nicer then have a nose full of cedar...( i just hate wearing masks)
3.) Every body that drives by just stares to see what your doing.
4.) Starting to build earlier in the year is alot more enjoyable then waiting untill the last minute.(im a procrastinator at times)

Im sure there's more I learned but probly forgot . Getting closer to being in the paint booth.

Kashton with his first muskie! I took him out for a little bit between the storms on Saturday to scout for the pike. Within 10 minutes, he was hooked up. Unfortunately, the fish was NOT caught on Hammer Customs. But someone's first muskie is always special. It's like a gateway to a lifelong obsession! I'd love to see everyone's first muskies. Drop a comment or picture below, no matter what or how they were caught.

How many of you have been hit out in the cast/ripped while trolling and just suddenly gets off only to see a big ol tooth on your hook or stuck in your bait?
Pictured here is a shallow chain hammer by Hammer Custom Baits that got smacked at 4mph, down rod ripped for two head shakes then crickets. Tooth on the middle hook tells me that fish really wanted the bait but just wasn’t hooked well enough 🤷‍♂️ muskies doing musky things
