We could've run this in a beige conference room off the M25.

We chose a former Scotland Yard police HQ instead.

On June 19th, a curated group of London Chiefs of Staff are spending the day at The Great Scotland Yard:
β˜€οΈ Daytime: a hands-on AI workshop. Real workflows, real takeaways, the stuff that actually changes how you work.
πŸŒ™ Evening: a proper networking dinner. Good food, sharp company, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you put the right people in the right room.

One day. Your toolkit upgraded and your network deepened without leaving central London.

The room is intentionally small, which is the whole point. It's also nearly full.

If you've been meaning to register, this is the nudge. Don't be the one reading the recap next week.

Being a Chief of Staff is the loneliest seat in the company.

You're the only one of you. You can't fully vent to your principal, you are their shock absorber.

You can't offload onto the team. So you carry it alone and assume that's just the job.

It isn't.

The most useful hour I ever spend is with another Chief of Staff who just gets it, the impossible priorities, the "make this happen by Friday," the being-everywhere-and-credited-nowhere of it all.

That's the real reason we're hosting a networking dinner alongside the AI workshop on June 19th.

A room at The Great Scotland Yard full of people who actually do your job, in your city, at your level.

The workshop sharpens your toolkit.
The dinner gives you the peer group most CoS never get.
Come for the AI. Stay for the people who finally understand the role.

Two things are true about the Chief of Staff role:

Most companies have no idea how to hire one. (See: every JD asking for "strategic thought partner" and "manage the calendar" in the same breath, paying somewhere between $80K and $300K depending on the vibe.)

Most companies have no idea how to keep one. (See: the CoS line item that gets an asterisk the second finance opens the spreadsheet.)

It's the same disease, two symptoms. If nobody can define the role, nobody can defend it.

So this Friday, I'm sitting down with Chief and two people who've actually built, held, and survived this seat. We're getting into the stuff nobody says out loud:

β†’ What a CoS actually does (it's not lunch)
β†’ How to scope and pay for the role like you mean it
β†’ How to measure impact that's diffuse by design
β†’ And how to make yourself load-bearing instead of cuttable

Bring your worst job posting. We'll roast it together.

"Use AI more" is useless advice. Here's what we're actually doing in the room on June 19 πŸ‘‡By the end of the workshop, you...

"Use AI more" is useless advice.

Here's what we're actually doing in the room on June 19 πŸ‘‡

By the end of the workshop, you'll leave able to:
β†’ Understand why AI will help you save time
β†’ Draft, pressure-test and tighten exec comms without losing your voice
β†’ Set up the repeatable systems that take the low-leverage admin off your plate for good

You'll walk out Monday morning with workflows you can use that same week not a slide deck you'll never open again.

Then we move from the workshop room to the dinner table for a networking event where the real conversations happen.

This is built specifically for Chiefs of Staff and the people who run point for their founders.

London-based, senior, hands-on.

I built a corporate career.

Then I started my own business, coaching and teaching Chiefs of Staffs.

Then, later in life, I became a mom. It rewired everything.

I love it!

My family is my center now, the reason behind the ambition, not a trade-off for it.

I took a break.

Now I'm back, stepping into a Chief of Staff role at Autodesk.

The same principles I teach, now in the seat.

And I'm still coaching, teaching, and taking the work on the road, family in tow.

Showing up authentically means bringing all of me, Mom included.

My first stop is in London on June 19ththen off to Toronto!

The Chief of Staff job is being rewritten in real time and most people in the role haven't noticed yet.

Two years ago your edge was simple: you knew everything and everyone. You were the one who could pull the board deck together, run the competitor teardown, and find the answer buried in 40 browser tabs.

Half of that work can now be done before your coffee goes cold.

That's not a threat.

It's the biggest leverage unlock the role has ever had if you actually know how to use it.

The Chiefs of Staff who figure it out this year are about to become twice as valuable to their principals.

The ones who don't will spend 2026 doing work a model could've finished in minutes.

So we're getting a room of London Chiefs of Staff together to work through exactly that a hands-on AI workshop at The Great Scotland Yard.

Not a webinar. Not theory. The actual workflows.

Two Chiefs. One stage.

What happens when two exceptional Chiefs compare notes?

This isn't a panel. It's a masterclass.

One speaker challenges your thinking. Two change it.

Separately, they were brilliant. Together, they're unmissable.

The room every Chief should be in.

You're not losing jobs because you're underqualified.
You're losing them because you look exactly like the other 2,000 applicants.

Same resume template. Same "results-driven professional" line. Same tools everyone else is using.
Recruiters aren't reading; they're pattern-matching.

And when you match the pattern of 2,000 other people, you become invisible. Not rejected. Just... skipped.

Here's what I've learned after watching this play out again and again:
The people who get pulled in for interviews aren't always the most qualified.
They're the ones who showed up differently, using a handful of tools and tactics almost nobody in the applicant pile knows about.

Every time I show a client these, the reaction is the same. Their jaw drops. Then: "Why did nobody tell me this sooner?"

If you're sending applications into the void and hearing nothing back, what do you think is the real reason you're getting skipped? Drop it below, send me a DM, I read every comment.

Early bird closes tomorrow (30th May).

I'll be honest with you. I almost didn't write this post, because I don't want to sound like every other "last chance" message in your feed.
So let me say it plainly instead.

On June 19, a small group of Chiefs of Staff is meeting in London, in a room, on a whiteboard, to do the work the internet has failed to do for this role. We're walking through an AI workflow built for the Chief of Staff seat, the daily analysis system that turns you from the most useful person in the building into the most trusted one, and the frameworks you'll run the Monday after you fly home.

The early-bird price closes tomorrow. After that, the ticket goes back to full price, and I won't be reopening the discount.
If you've been reading these posts, nodding, saving them, and telling yourself you'll think about it β€” this is the part where thinking ends and deciding starts.

The Chiefs of Staff who walk into this room will leave with something most people in our role never get: a real system, a real peer network, and a real answer to the executive who keeps telling you to "be more strategic."
If that's you, grab the early bird before it closes tomorrow.

If you've got questions about whether this is the right room for you, send me a DM today. I'll answer personally.

Some of us walked into the Chief of Staff role thinking it was the sexy seat.

The proximity to the CEO. The all-access pass. The strategic title. The LinkedIn glow-up.

Then my friend Rachel said something that has stayed with me: "The Chief of Staff role is one of the most unglamorous jobs you can imagine."
She was right.

And here's what nobody tells you. When you walk into this role with the "sexy job" mindset, you don't influence. You don't make impact. You perform a version of the job instead of doing it.

Eventually, you hear the line every Chief of Staff dreads from their executive:
"You're not influencing with enough authority."

I've sat with too many Chiefs of Staff carrying that exact piece of feedback. Across companies, across industries, across continents, the same pattern keeps showing up. The hardest thing about this role isn't the workload. It's learning to be strategic and influential without any of the formal authority that usually comes with the seat.

We need to fix that. Not as a wellness post. As a profession.
So I'm not keeping this conversation online anymore.

I'm taking it to the grassroots. London is the first stop. We're going back to the drawing board, in a room, on a whiteboard, and we're rebuilding how a Chief of Staff actually becomes their executive's most trusted partner.

Not the most useful one. The most trusted one. There is a difference, and that difference is the entire job.

If you're a Chief of Staff and any part of this hits, you need to be in this room.

This is where the impact starts.

June 19. London. In person.
