FALS race recap from Saturday. Qualified 14th placing me in the second heat starting 7th. Had a good run in the heat finishing 5th. Started 10th in the feature and was running good until I ran into overheating issues and ended up pulling off when a caution came out to save the car from any further issue. A little work to do in order to make sure there is no further over heating issues, so I can be ready for Lasalle Speedway this week and FALS this weekend.

Race recap from Saturday at FALS. Qualified 12th, with my fastest time yet, placing me in the 2nd heat starting in 6th. Ran a good race finishing 6th, which had me starting 12th in the feature. Got up to 8th in the feature then got hit toward the end of the race but was still able to keep going, ended up finishing 11th. Got a little work to do this week, but will get it done and be ready for next week.

Fairbury Speedway Rained Out for Saturday, August 1; Adds FALS Cup Special on Thursday, August 13.

Heavy forecasted rain throughout the day has forced Fairbury Speedway officials to cancel tonight’s FALS Cup races at Fairbury Speedway, scheduled for Saturday, August 1.

With the rainout, Fairbury Speedway officials have decided to add a special FALS Cup race on Thursday, August 13.

“Our weekly drivers have not raced much over the past month and a half, and we wanted to show them that we are committed to providing them with racing opportunities throughout the season,” Fairbury Speedway owner Matt Curl conveyed. “With the Dylan Scott concert coming up next weekend and then being off the following week for the LaSalle Special, I felt like we needed to race more at FALS, so we’re going to do that.”

More details about the special FALS Cup night on August 13, will be announced early next week, along with the remainder of the season schedule. Richard Craven Memorial at FALS started of as a good night. Qualified 14th, started 7th in the heat and finished 6th. Got to the feature started 12th was able work my way up running 8th when I got caught up in a wreck. A car came down from the high side then slammed into the right side of the car, not sure what cause it but it led to my night to come to an end and DNF for the feature. A shame to see a good night end the way it did, but I am ok and the car can be repaired. Got a lot of work to do replacing tubing and parts along with repairing body panels but we will get it fixed up and ready to go back out.
