Dwight Baseball would like to take a moment to wish one of our own good luck tonight in the American Legion World Series Championship!

Mike Lanik leads Carpet Land Rugs Post 500 (Lincoln East) this evening in Shelby, North Carolina against the Portland Barbers Post 158. You can find the game on ESPNU at 5:00pm.

Lanik was part of the Dwight Baseball 2004 Junior Legion State Championship Team and the 2005 Senior Legion State Championship Team. He seeks Nebraska’s first American Legion World Series Championship since 1939.

Good luck tonight Coach! Bring home the gold!

As the 2026 season comes to a close, Dwight Baseball would like to extend a sincere thank you to our sponsor, Scheels Lincoln Ne, for their generous support throughout the year. Their partnership allowed us to purchase much-needed team equipment at discounted prices, helping provide a great experience for our players. We appreciate their commitment to our program and look forward to continuing to build our partnership for years to come.

We’d also like to recognize all of our players, coaches, and families for another great season. This year, Dwight Baseball proudly fielded nine teams: two Tee Ball teams, two 8U teams, and teams at the 10U, 11U, 12U, 14U, and Senior Legion levels.

Our teams had a lot to celebrate this season:
⚾ One 8U team qualified for the Silver Bracket, while the other earned a spot in the Gold Bracket of the league tournament.
⚾ Our 10U team qualified for the Gold Bracket.
⚾ Our 11U team brought home a 3rd-place finish in the AA State Tournament.
⚾ Both our 12U and 14U teams finished as Gold Bracket Runner-Up in the league tournament.
⚾ Our Senior Legion team begins District Tournament play this week—good luck, players and coaches!

It was a successful season, and the future of Dwight Baseball looks bright. Thank you to our players for their hard work, our parents for their unwavering support, our volunteer coaches for the countless hours they dedicate, our sponsors for investing in our program, and everyone in our community who cheers us on.

We couldn’t do it without you!

Husker Squares are back!!!

The kids in our baseball program will be out selling squares again this summer. Each square costs $50 and will last the entire season. 48 chances to WIN! You will keep the same square for all 12 games, and numbers will be randomly drawn prior to each game. You can check for your numbers on our page.

Please, contact Andy Valenti, a coach, or a player that you know is involved in the program, and buy your square(s) today!

All entries are due by September 2nd!

It’s been a process, but we made it. Special thanks to the Dwight Legion Post-110, S.A.L., all the businesses, and many individuals who supported our backstop and infield fence renovation project this past winter! We truly can’t thank you enough for the generosity and support you’ve shown our Dwight Baseball program. Your investment in our players and our facility will make a lasting impact for years to come.

Please, consider supporting the businesses that supported our renovation project — they believe in our baseball program and our community.

A special thank you to Nemaha Sports Construction and Outback Fence for working with us to make this renovation more affordable for our ball club. Their teams did outstanding work, and these improvements will serve our program well for many seasons to come.

The donation board represents those that donated to the dugout and backstop renovations, or made prior monetary contributions. We can’t thank you all enough! If you missed out and would like to make a donation at one of the levels listed, please contact Andy Valenti at 402-367-2800. This board will be permanently hung up on the side of our concession stand at the ballfield.
