I think the protein craze has officially gone too far.
Protein cookies.
Protein cereal.
Protein chips.
Protein coffee foam.
Guys, not everything you eat needs to be a protein source.
Here's what actually works:
Build your meals around real protein foods.
✓ Lean meats�✓ Eggs�✓ Greek yogurt�✓ Cottage cheese�✓ Fish�✓ Quality dairy if you tolerate it
Then fill in the rest from there.
Most of the men I coach succeed because they have 3-5 go-to meals they can repeat consistently.
Not because they found another protein snack.
Protein products can be useful.
But they should supplement your diet.
Not become your diet.

Most men over 40 are still using a training model designed for their 20s.
High-volume bro splits and marathon gym sessions worked when recovery capacity, stress levels, and available time looked completely different.
But after 40, recovery and consistency become significantly more important.
3–4 focused sessions per week are often more effective because they improve adherence, reduce burnout, and allow better recovery while still creating enough stimulus for muscle growth and fat loss.
The issue isn’t that men need to work harder.
It’s that they need a strategy aligned with their current physiology and lifestyle.
