The JV Lady Tigers had an outstanding win this week in Red Bud. They battled it out until they came out on top. Way to go, Tigers! Let's carry that energy into next week with our Varsity Home games on Tuesday and Wednesday against Wirth and New Athens and our Away game on Friday in New Athens.

AUTUMN Drives 6 Runners Home In Dupo Jr High JV Victory Over Lady Royals JV

AUTUMN H drove in six runs on four hits to lead Dupo Jr High JV past Lady Royals JV 17-8 on Wednesday at Red Bud Elementary School. AUTUMN H doubled in the fourth scoring three, doubled in the first scoring two, singled in the fifth scoring two, and tripled in the third scoring one.
Dupo Jr High JV jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after AUTUMN H doubled, scoring two runs, and a passed ball scored one run.
Dupo Jr High JV added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after AUTUMN H tripled down the left field line, and Dupo Jr High JV scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.
Lady Royals JV flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring seven runs on one hit to take the lead, 8-5. The biggest blow in the inning was an error that drove in two.
Dupo Jr High JV flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring seven runs on one hit to take the lead, 12-8. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by AUTUMN H that drove in three.
Dupo Jr High JV scored five runs on one hit in the top of the fifth inning. An error scored one run, AUTUMN H singled, scoring two runs, KOURTNEY W drew a walk, scoring one run, and PAYTON M drew a walk, scoring one run.
RAEGANN T earned the win for Dupo Jr High JV. The starter allowed three hits and eight runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out 10 and walking nine. Darcy M led things off in the circle for Lady Royals JV. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and eight runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out nine and walking six.
Dupo Jr High JV had patience at the plate, tallying 14 walks for the game. SOFIA F and PAYTON M led the team with three bases on balls each. AUTUMN H and KOURTNEY W each stole multiple bases for Dupo Jr High JV. Dupo Jr High JV stole six bases in the game.
Clara V and Darcy M were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Lady Royals JV. Darcy M went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Lady Royals JV in hits. Lady Royals JV had patience at the plate, amassing nine walks for the game. Clara V, Josey H, and Addi R led the team with two walks each.
