As many of you are aware our county has been impacted by too many cases of cancer in children in Scott County. Two years ago this began as an idea to give back after a close friend who coached at JI Burton, daughter was also diagnosed with cancer her SR year of HS.
We have been able to make it happen this year thanks to the teams participating and the help of our administration at Rye Cove HS. Proceeds from this Saturday’s event will be donated to St. Jude’s as we are very thankful for all the help they provide for children and families going through their fight with cancer.
If you enjoy HS softball, come out and enjoy what’s is shaping up to be great weather, and catch some local teams knocking the rust off in preseason play.
We would also like to invite any of those kids who have been in this fight to attend, and message me if you can to let us know you are coming.
