And just like that, the 2026 season is over. Final record of 28-13.

Thank you to to the players, they earned every victory and had a never give up attitude.

Thank you to all the parents for their support and giving the Batz a chance.

Special thanks to the coaches Shawn Meyer and Bryan Thomas, we made a great trio.

Also, many thanks to Matt Clark (and Sara) and Courtney Thomas for taking care of the finances, registering for tournaments, and keeping everything transparent.

I cannot forget the Game Changer crew. Thanks Bryan T. and Jessica Desmith (video). You helped fans of the Batz follow the game from afar.

And finally, thanks to Doc Z’s crew of Alex and Matt for the time they have spent with personal lessons and the use of their facility for our team practices.

Although we have some moving on, we will remember this season and the relationships that were built among this group of boys. Best of luck to all in jh baseball this fall and in the future.

These boys earned this tournament championship this weekend. They went 2-0 in pool play on Saturday. Then they won with walk-offs in consecutive games on Sunday, including coming back from an 8-1 deficit in the championship game to win 10-9! Team effort!!
