What a fantastic weekend East Lansing Kart Track! Buffo Racing Team competed in the Bobby Haun Memorial Race. In the lo206 Senior class Jacob Buffo started heat 1 in third and finished third. He started heat 2 in 13th and finished seventh. He started the feature in third place and finished on the podium with a strong 3rd place finish! There were 17 talented drivers in the class!

He attempted to compete in the KA class, however braking issues prevented him from racing. We now know it was a shifting axel that caused the issues.

The moms got to compete in the Powder Puff race and boy were they speedy! Their sons could learn a few things 😅

This past weekend BRT Derek BuffoJacob Buffo Jacquelyn Buffo and Alan Racing headed to Whiteland Raceway Park for the Cup Karts North America final round! BRT progressively got faster each time we went on the track. Saturday, we just missed our mark of finishing in the top 5 with a 6th place finish.

On Sunday, Jacob went from a 9th place start in Heat 1 to start the feature in 5th. He moved his way up to a 3rd/4th place spot within the first two laps until another driver got a bit antsy and spun Jacob. He fought hard for his 12th place finish. Not the finish we wanted but the memories, growth, smiles, laughs, and friendships are the real reason we keep coming back.

It was a battle yesterday at Whiteland with some top notch competition! Jacob Buffo and Buffo Racing Team worked hard and fought our way back from a 13th place finish in Heat 1 to a 10th place finish in Heat 2 to finish the feature race in 6th place! Not the top 5 finish we wanted but a victory nonetheless! Today is another day and another feature race! Let’s go Alan Racing! Derek Buffo

Great racing yesterday East Lansing Kart Track! Jacob Buffo ran in the KA and Lo206 classes. Lo206 had 15 tough competitors in the class! Jacob started 2nd in the first heat and finished 1st. He started 13th in the second heat and finished 5th. That put him at pole position in the feature and he finished with a 1st place win! He’s still working on learning the KA and he finished 4th in that class.

Another EPIC weekend in the books! This weekend we went to Badger Kart Club for the Cup Karts North America race! BRT had two features in two days, celebrated a certain Dadcanics birthday Derek Buffo and celebrated all of the dadcanics for Fathers Day!

The weekend started off with a major hurdle when the race gear was left at home (7.5 hours away) and Jacob Buffo didn’t have a helmet, suit, gloves, chest protector, or neck brace to even compete. Because we literally race with the most amazing families, within an hour our racing families rallied and found EVERYTHING he needed to compete and compete he did!!

Jacob showed amazing speed the entire weekend, setting the fastest lap in practice, finishing 3rd in Heat 1, and being a podium contender in both Senior Medium Features! Unfortunately, he was behind two major wrecks in two features that caused him to get airborne. Despite the adversity he managed to finish in the top 5 both days in the Senior Medium feature.
