Gunner Thames Memorial Foundation The Gunner Thames Memorial Foundation provides educational scholarships and financial assistance to deserving students throughout Texas.

The Gunner Thames Memorial Foundation was formed in 2011 after Gunner passed away after a tragic rodeo accident. Gunner was a loving, amazingly funny, caring young man. He was injured in a Steer Wrestling event and fought a 3 week battle with a head injury. He passed from complications on September 9, 2011, he was 15 years old. "Honoring a Legacy"

cholarships for deserving Texas High School Rodeo Association athletes; Supports Hays County, Texas
youth 4H and Future Farmers of America projects; and provides funds to aid families in crisis situations.

The Wimberley Memorial Day Rodeo is back May 23 & 24, 2026 ,supporting Wimberley 4H and continuing a small town tradition that means a whole lot to this community. ❤️

RODEO STARTS @ 8PM
