🥳January Committed Club Spotlight: Jared Brown!! 🥳
We’re fired up to celebrate Jared, our January Committed Club winner! 🏆
Jared has been a steady presence in our Summa community for nearly two years — trusting the process, staying consistent, and putting in the work day after day. That’s exactly what Committed Club is all about. 💪
He has the biggest heart, is fiercely loyal to his friends and family, and brings so much passion to everything he does — from fitness to music and beyond. He’s made some powerful life changes this past year, and we’re so proud of the growth and progress he’s made both inside and outside our walls.
We asked Jared a few questions about his journey at Summa:
👉 What keeps you coming back?
“The people. I’ve made friends I can’t remember life before. The most inspirational motivators who never let me settle and never let me quit ❤️”
👉 Something he’s proud of lately:
“I’m beginning to see progress with things I’ve been working on for so long — my proper clean form finally boosted my PR by 35 lbs! And being able to do consecutive toes-to-bar is something I’m really proud of.”
👉 Favorite workout or movement:
“I’m a big fan of the Manion hero WOD. I like leg-heavy movements like squats, running, burpees, and box jumps (and yes, I’m aware I’m probably in the minority haha) :)”
👉 Least favorite movement:
“Anything with a rope. Rope climbs are not my friend haha. I’m working on double unders and I’m not giving up!”
That’s the mindset. 👏
👉 Advice for someone thinking about starting at CrossFit Summa:
“The leap of faith is worth it. Trust the process. Some days you’ll feel unstoppable and others not so much. But one day you’ll look back and smile knowing every victory and every lesson was worth it. And you just might meet life-changing friends along the way.”
Jared’s journey is a powerful reminder: progress doesn’t happen overnight — it happens through consistency, patience, practice, and showing up even on the hard days.
We’re proud of you, Jared. Keep climbing (even if it’s not the rope 😉).
