COTA was bittersweet 🥲 — the final Stock 1000 round of the season, and my expectations were high. Unfortunately, the racing gods had other plans…
Bike issues in practice and both qualifying sessions led to two separate crashes in Turn 12. Thankfully, no serious injuries 🙏 thanks to my and gear for keeping me safe.
I was granted a provisional based on past performance and lined up last on the grid. Race 1 became my “practice session” — got off to a solid start, cautiously worked into a rhythm, and finished P21 out of 36.
Race 2 started similarly: a clean launch, chaos in Turn 1 😬, and some early battles that moved me up around P17–18. A small mistake gave the opening he needed (well done, kid 🤙), and I brought it home P20 out of 35.
Not the results I know I’m capable of — but that’s racing. At the end of the day, I’m grateful to God for keeping me safe, thankful for my race family and friends, and inspired by the fans who keep this journey so special. ❤️🏁
