Meet JW Bush AKA Dub in the middle with the chain on. Dub has been with the dragons for a year a half now and has spent most of his time behind the plate taking a beating. Dub got dawg of the day from last tournament in Valdosta for his grit behind the plate. He stayed back there in that gear for 90% of the day and never once complained. No matter how hot or how tired he was he just kept pushing to make it happen. Not only did he catch all day but he got his first ever hose from behind the plate and got that monkey off his back. But we know that being the dawg of the day is more than just field performance it’s about attitude as well. It didn’t matter where Dub was he was constantly picking his team up, cheering them on, and stepping up and being a leader through it all. Stay tough and Keep being a Dawg Dub.

Meet DJ Walker the guy in the middle with the big necklace on. He was one of of the two Dawg of the Day guys from our tournament last Saturday in Valdosta. DJ is new to the Dragons this fall. He got Dawg of the Day for his performance on the mound. He made his debut on the mound this weekend and although it was a lot of pressure you could not tell by the way he stayed calm and collected. But more importantly when things weren’t going his way up there he never hung his head he just came back with another pitch with his chin up. Welcome to the Dragons DJ and as always keep being a Dawg.

This guy here is Sebastian Calloway A.K.A Bash. Bash is a utility player that mostly plays in the outfield. This weekend in Marianna Bash was holding it down in the outfield not only by catching anything that was in his area but also getting the ball back in and stopping plays before they got out of hand. He did so good with it that he hosed a guy at the plate from the left field fence with a dot of a throw. Bash also showed out at the plate contributing with his bat and his wheels on the base path. But as we all know doing great on the field isn’t all it takes to get Dawg of the day. It takes being a leader, having a good attitude, and picking up your teammates when they go flat and Bash contributed every one of those characteristics at some point throughout the day. The hard work you are putting in is paying off. Keep being a Dawg Bash

First up we have our head coach Zack Conoly. Coach Zack doesn’t have a kid on the team and he pours so much time and effort into this group of boys!
This season wouldn’t have been the same without you, Coach Zack. Your dedication, patience, and belief in every one of the boys have made a huge impact on and off the field. You’ve taught them more than just how to play baseball; you’ve taught them about discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
From every practice to all day games, you’ve been there every step of the way, pushing the team to be better and always leading with heart.
Thank you for being our mentor, motivator, and biggest supporter. We’re better players and people because of you! 💛🤎

The South Georgia Dragons 10U baseball team played in Adel today. This is Gunner Roland AKA G. Gunner was picked as the Dawg of the day today for his outstanding performance on both sides. Not only did he hold down third base today but he also came in as a relief pitcher. At the plate today Gunner was a big contributor with several big hits in key situations. But to get the Dawg of the day you not only have to play good but you also have to be a good teammate and leader. Gunner was also big with encouragement to the others as well as holding his head up when he could have hung it down and gotten down on himself. Way to be a Dawg G.
