The success of the 2026 Dillsboro Summer Slam would not have been possible without the incredible generosity, dedication, and support of our community.

Mother Nature was not on our side this weekend but the efforts never stopped and we pulled through after each rain and continued to play ball! The mornings were early and the nights long but together we got it done. A special shout out to Dylan Randall with Randall Equipment Company. Dylan showed up at daylight Saturday with a truck bed full of blowers and fuel and without him and his equipment the games would not have went on. Go see Dylan for all your equipment needs. Top notch guy right there.

Thank you to our Board Members, for their countless hours of planning, organizing, fundraising, and working behind the scenes to bring this event to life. Their leadership, compassion, and dedication helped create an unforgettable tournament.

A very special thank you goes out to Rick Gordon for all his field maintenance efforts, our umpires who did an Amazing job all weekend, and the Tucher Family/SD Show Chior for the concession work and everyone who donated their time and effort. Events like this simply could not happen without your dedication.

Thank you to every team that committed to our tournament and continued to show up and work through the rain delays and muddy conditions. A special Thank you goes to those who grabbed a broom, rake, blower and helped with field maintenance as well.

We extend our deepest appreciation to every sponsor, volunteer, coach, player, parent, fan and our Park Board & Town who helped make this event a success. Your contributions allowed us to come together not only for great softball during the week and baseball this weekend, but also to support a cause that is close to all of our hearts. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing together, supporting one another, and demonstrating what makes our community so special.

A very special thank you goes to Sidney Steinhauer, Michael Kennedy and Dalton Felts with Stealth Outfitters for designing and doing all the leg work for the Commemorative T-Shirts. We were sold out early Saturday! Thank you to all of the sponsors featured on the back of the commemorative shirt. Your generosity and commitment to our community helped make this event possible and provided meaningful support for the Walter family.

We would also like to recognize and thank Side Street Station, Perry @ Dillsboro IGA, The Weatherford Family, The Davies Family, and Dillsboro Summer Ball for the Pulled Pork Booth. Thank you to every person who worked and served the pork all weekend long. All items were donated and all proceeds are for The Walters Family.

We would like to Thank, Ricky Bender and Headline Sports for the donation of a bat for the bat raffle. Your contribution and support means a lot and helped us exceed our donation goal.

With the T-shirts, Pulled Pork, Bat Raffle and Free Will Donations we were able to raise over $20,000 for The Walters Family!

Dillsboro Summer Slam Baseball UPDATE!

Due to Mother Nature we have moved all games back to a 10am start tomorrow.

We will continue to monitor the weather and plan to begin field work at 7am. Any volunteers are welcome.

Please see updated schedules below and come support these boys as they complete their final Allstar Tournament of the season. We will have pulled pork, Commemorative T-Shirts, and Raffle tickets available for the bat raffle where all proceeds go to The Walters Family. SD show choir concessions and Kona Ice will be available as well. Thank you!

Dillsboro Summer Slam Softball Tournament

The 2026 Dillsboro Summer Slam Softball Tournament has come & gone. For three action-packed evenings, our fields were filled with softball and an amazing community that came together to celebrate our young athletes.

While Mother Nature certainly tried her best to interrupt the festivities last night, the determination of our players, coaches, volunteers, and families never wavered. We are thankful the weather skirted around us and we were able to complete another successful Softball Summer Slam.
