This morning we went to sycamore canyon park in Diamond bar. The trail was easy so the kids were able to finish on their own. There were monkey bar scattered on the top of the trip which Mercy loved to show off her tricks. At the end of our hike the kids really enjoyed their big playground and having a small picnic. I would definitely come again, next time the kids can play along the little streams they have it looks really fun.

This morning we took the kids on more of a intermediate hike in Diamond Bar. The hills were pretty steep especially for kids so I would bring a walking stick next time. It was a great little workout for Josh Sun and I, got the heart rate pumping right in the beginning as there were stairs going almost straight up. There is no shade so bring a hat and water. We had lots of fun going up and down the big hills and treating ourselves to a little snack when we reached the top of each hill.

Not stroller friendly and not suitable for kids under 3, unless you will carry them mostly due to the hills. Oliver got a little scared going down the hills at times so we carried him a lot of the time to expect to do some carrying. I would definitely come again it was a great workout not to mention the beautiful views of the rolling hills.

This windy weekend we took the kids on a easy hike/ walk in Eastvale. There are multiple trails there mostly paved and wide. (Very stroller friendly). It is by a residential community along side some sort of a nature preserve with a little lake or stream. we saw squirrels, ducks, cranes ( or I think what we saw was a crane), dogs and horses. It would have been a great place for the kidos to bike or scooter as the path was very wide. At the enterence to the park there were some rock climbing walls and a dinosaur fossil in the sand for the kids to dig up. They absolutely loved it and could have played in the sand for hours except we got hungry 🤤 . The trails leads to multiple parks I believe around the neighborhood, so there was one with a bunch of workout machines and they enjoyed working their way around to each station.

This trail does not go in a loop but it branches out into many different trails which one can explore and walk as far as those little legs can take them.

Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim is such a hidden treasure. We just discovered it this week and it is the perfect place to take the kids on a hike, lots of short trails to explore. They have many little animals the kids can look out for. I highly recommend this place for kids who like to run around and explore and climb trees. There are lots of little things to look at like streams, the bird feeders, little animal statues etc that will keep the kids entertained. Benches are everywhere so the kidos can take a snack break. This is great for beginner hikers especially young kids.
