*Cheer performance & State Champ Softball recognition at halftime.
*ThunderThrift Sale will be from 6:00 - 7:30 PM

🎟️ $7 for everyone kindergarten on up. GVC students and staff get in free with their ID or pass. Tickets can be bought ahead of time on Bound or by cc or cash at the gate.

Coach Krista led the Thunder to an incredible 32-4 season, capped off by the 2026 Class 2A State Championship!

Join us tonight as we honor the State Champion Thunder Softball Team during halftime of our home football game.

🏆2026 CLASS 2A STATE CHAMPIONS 🏆

After falling in the opening round of the first-ever double-elimination state tournament, the Thunder refused to let their season end. They responded by winning four straight elimination games to capture the 2026 Class 2A State Championship!

Facing a 4-0 deficit in the championship game, the Thunder battled back once again.
Sophie’s game-tying grand slam in the bottom of the third inning ignited the comeback. Harper came through with a clutch two-out triple before scoring on a passed ball. Maiah delivered a key RBI line drive as the Thunder defeated Wapsie Valley 7-6.

This team never stopped fighting, and now they are STATE CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to our players, coaches, families, and Thunder fans on an unforgettable season!
