USSSA C State Tournament

Our 10U girls took the field this weekend and really showed up. I am so proud of them and everything they left on the field. They hit the ball hard, made great defensive plays, and pitched extremely well. We battled all weekend, and while it's always heartbreaking to come up short of the ultimate goal, we brought home 3rd place in the Gold Bracketβ€”not too shabby!

Game 1 vs. Khaos
We came out strong and didn't back down when Khaos tried to make a comeback. We hit the ball well and were aggressive on the bases.

Game ball: Aribelle – for aggressive, heads-up baserunning that helped us score some extra runs.

---

Game 2 vs. Select
Our bats were a little quiet this game, and a few walks made it difficult to climb back into it. The girls continued to battle but came up short.

Game ball: Izzy – for making several great plays at 3rd base. She did an excellent job attacking the ball and making strong throws to get outs at first.

---

Game 3 vs. Shawks
We came out ready to take control of this game. The girls were patient when pitches were out of the zone but ready to attack when they got a good pitch to hit.

Game ball: Kota – for a strong performance behind the plate and helping keep the game under control defensively.

---

Game 4 vs. Stars
We knew this would be a battle, and the girls showed up ready to compete. We had several hard-hit balls, took extra bases when opportunities were there, and played great defense.

Game ball: Caroline – for fielding everything that came her way at shortstop and getting us key outs, while also making strong contact at the plate.

---

Game 5 vs. Rockettes
We faced a very good team with a strong pitcher. We struggled to get much going offensively and were just a little slow to make a few plays defensively. We came up short, but we still went home with some hardware and plenty to be proud of.

Game ball: Avery – for backing up plays, embracing her role at first base, and giving maximum effort all game long. She stepped up when asked to pitch and worked incredibly hard for the team. She also put together a great at-bat against a tough pitcher to get on base and try to spark our offense.

League Recap – June 15-19

June 15 – 10U vs. Explosion
We battled hard all game and came away with a tie.

Game ball: Kota – for always being ready in the outfield to get the ball in quickly. She even covered 2nd base on one play! She also maintained a great attitude throughout the entire game.

---

June 15 – 10U vs. Diamond Dogs
We played a very solid game. The girls were patient at the plate, made good contact, and got contributions from all three pitchers who stepped into the circle.

Game ball: Liv – for playing her role extremely well at 1st base. She backed up plays, covered when needed, and was even asked to come in and get the final out of an inning to give Kynzleigh time to finish warming up.

---

June 16 – 12U vs. Sunflowers
The girls have been so close to beating this team all season, and they finally got it done. They handed the Sunflowers their first loss of the season with a strong offensive performance and timely scoring.

Game ball: Charlotte K – for turning a great double play to end the final inning and handling a challenging situation with maturity and composure.

---

June 16 – 12U vs. Blaze
The girls kept the momentum going and put together another strong hitting performance. Ella pitched very well, with Kayleigh coming in to provide solid relief.

Game ball: Maleah – for laying down great bunts and slaps, being aggressive on the bases, and creating opportunities all game long.

---

June 17 – 8U vs. Renegades
It was a hot evening, but the girls worked hard and stayed focused. We had a lot of hard-hit balls and made several great defensive plays.

Game ball: Chandler – for catching multiple pop flies and line drives for outs. She even completed a heads-up double play by stepping on first after making a catch.

---

June 17 – 8U vs. Pigtail Punishers
We continued to swing the bats well and make plays in the field. We were also able to move players around and give them opportunities at different positions.

Game ball: Karsyn – for taking quality swings at the plate and staying calm during a chaotic play at first base. Despite all the excitement and yelling around her, she stayed focused and helped complete a heads-up double play.

Fun in the Sun – 12U

Game 1 vs. Havoc
We hit the ball well, but our defense missed a few key plays that cost us some runs.

Game ball: Kayleigh – for making some great plays at 3rd base and consistently making hard contact at the plate.

---

Game 2 vs. T-Birds
We didn't really show up for this game. We didn't hit or play defense up to our potential.

Game ball: Madyson – for making several solid plays at 2nd base, collecting some hard-hit balls at the plate, and being aggressive on the bases.

---

Game 3 vs. Hot Mess
Our bats finally came alive, and we hit our way to a decisive win.

Game balls: Hannah and Ella – Hannah for a lights-out pitching performance, and Ella for several timely hard hits that drove in key runs.

---

Game 4 vs. Momentum
We played a close game, but the girls continued to battle and came away with the win to earn another bracket game.

Game ball: Hannah – for a dominant performance in the circle and continued hard contact at the plate.

---

Game 5 vs. Wild Things
We jumped on our opponent early and controlled most of the game. Unfortunately, our bats cooled off later and left the door open for the other team to string together some hits. The girls played well but came up just short in the end.

Game ball: Madyson – for getting balls in quickly from the outfield and her heads-up baserunning. She took an aggressive chance going from second to home on a close play and nearly came away with the run.

League Recap – June 8-12

June 8 – 8U vs. Renegades
We struggled at times to string together hits and record outs, but the girls continued to battle and kept themselves in the game.

Game ball: Maisyn – for her heads-up plays in the field and solid hitting throughout the game.

---

June 9 – 12U vs. Momentum
This wasn't our best offensive game, but we still made some solid contact. We just weren't able to consistently string our hits together.

Game ball: Harper – for her discipline at the plate and a strong pitching performance in the circle.

---

Explode into Summer – 8U

We ended up with just a doubleheader against the Explosion, but the girls played really well, even while missing two of our stronger players. A lot of girls stepped up, made great plays in the field, and had some hard hits at the plate.

Game 1
Game ball: Lily – for her hustle and making several great plays for outs. She also got the opportunity to play some 1st base and absolutely had it locked down.

---

Game 2
Game ball: Piper – for making very solid contact at the plate all game long and continuing to battle in every at-bat.

---

Xtreme Showdown – 10U

Game 1 vs. Sunflowers
We gave the Sunflowers a good game and battled hard, but ultimately did not come away with the win.

Game ball: Kynzleigh – for her hustle behind the plate and on the bases.

---

Game 2 vs. Stars
The Stars had a very solid defense, but we were able to push them and put some runs on the board.

Game ball: Kota – for being a force behind the plate and getting several runners out at home. She also hit the ball very well and earned her first over-the-fence home run!

---

Game 3 vs. Dirt Devils
We did not show up the way we are capable of during this game and let the other team hang around long enough to come away with the win.

No game ball was awarded.

---

Game 4 vs. Venom Red
We hit the ball much better this game and made some good plays in the field, but came up just short.

Game ball: Aribelle – for making a great play at 3rd base and hitting the ball well all game.

---

Game 5 vs. Lady Sox
We had a lot of defensive action this game, chasing down balls and working hard to make plays.

Game ball: Kota – for leading the team in hits for the game.

---

Game 6 vs. Venom Black
In bracket play, we came out swinging and played a close game. We battled the rain all morning and came up just short.

Game ball: Kota – for her heads-up play at first base, snagging a line drive and touching 1st for the double play.
