🥎🎃🌪️ 12U GOLD TWISTERS – HOWL-O-SCREAM TOURNAMENT RECAP! 🌪️🎃🥎
Our 12U Gold Twisters hit the field this weekend for some great competition and valuable learning experiences! We saw some impressive defensive plays, great hustle, and moments of really solid softball.
This weekend also showed us a few areas where we need to keep growing, especially building confidence at the plate and finding more consistency with our pitching. The ability is there, and as we continue putting in the work, I’m excited to see this team grow!
❤️💛 Game 1 vs. Knockouts
We came out a little flat in our opening game and struggled to find our rhythm. We had a tough time getting things going, but even when the game wasn’t going our way, we had players who continued battling and giving their best effort!
🏆 Game Ball: Evalynn!
Evalynn stood out with her hustle, determination, and willingness to make things happen! She put together some quality at-bats and worked hard defensively, showing great effort to get to the ball and make plays. Love seeing that determination to compete, even when things get tough! 💪
❤️💛 Game 2 vs. Stingers
Our defense stepped up with some great plays throughout this game! Unfortunately, we struggled to get our bats going and couldn’t quite put together the offense we needed to support those defensive efforts. A great reminder that confidence and aggressiveness at the plate are just as important as making plays in the field!
🏆 Game Ball: Aribelle!
Aribelle brought her glove to work! 🧤🔥 She delivered an excellent defensive performance, stepping up and making plays to help keep us in the game. We love seeing players take ownership of their positions and play with confidence. Way to go, Aribelle!
❤️💛 Game 3 vs. ICT Stealth
This was a great game against an aggressive team that wasn’t afraid to use its speed on the bases! Our girls were challenged to stay alert, communicate, and be ready to make plays at every base. We competed well and showed some great moments of teamwork and defensive awareness!
🏆 Game Ball: Allahna!
Allahna stepped up in a big way this game! She delivered a solid performance in the circle, showed excellent hustle getting to home plate to make plays, and brought a confident, upbeat attitude that helped lead her teammates.
We love seeing players who not only work hard themselves but also bring the energy and encouragement that help elevate the entire team. That’s leadership! 💪🔥
❤️💛 Game 4 vs. Wicked
Our defense came ready to play in this one! We made some great plays in the field but continued to struggle with finding our confidence and rhythm at the plate.
The cold morning didn’t do us any favors, and we had some challenges finding consistency with our pitching and catching. Even with those struggles, the girls continued battling and working to make things happen!
🏆 Game Balls: Brooklyn & Charlie!
These two stepped up when we needed a spark!
Both girls put together important at-bats toward the bottom of our lineup, helping turn the batting order over and giving our offense opportunities to get something going!
🥎 Charlie showed some fantastic hustle in right field, charging in to make a great catch! Love seeing that aggressiveness and determination to go get the ball rather than waiting for it!
🥎 Brooklyn was making things happen at second base, coming up with several solid defensive plays to record outs and help keep us in the game!
Great job stepping up and making an impact, girls! 💪
🌟 MORE THAN JUST STATS! 🌟
Our game balls aren’t necessarily awarded to the players with the best stats. They’re about recognizing players who step up and go above and beyond their usual level of play through hustle, determination, effort, growth, and great sportsmanship.
Every player is on her own journey, and we want to recognize the moments when they push themselves, overcome challenges, step outside their comfort zones, and show what it means to be a great teammate!
❤️💛 KEEP GROWING, TWISTERS! 🌪️
This weekend showed us that we have the ability to make some great defensive plays, but we need to continue building confidence and consistency in all areas of our game.
One of our biggest focuses moving forward is learning to trust our preparation, play with confidence, and be aggressive instead of hesitant. Mistakes are part of the game, but we want our girls to be willing to take chances, compete, and learn from every experience.
We’re proud of the effort and growth we’re seeing, and we know this group has so much more to give!
🌪️🥎 Keep working, keep learning, and keep twisting!
