Wish we would have had the whole team in this phots!
What a weekend for Skeptic Motorsports! Despite the blistering heat and heavy humidity, every single person under our tent stepped up, put in the work, and refused to let the elements slow them down. A massive thank you to our drivers, parents, mechanics, and staff—you all are the backbone of this team, and your relentless dedication is what drives us forward. Here is how the weekend unfolded on the track:
Afton Willander (KA Sr | P9): From the very first session, you showed incredible raw pace and total focus. What impressed us most was how you trusted the process, embraced the necessary setup changes, and never let up for a single lap. Walking away with a hard-earned P9 means our weekend goal is officially achieved. Next stop is the top 5, and with this momentum, we are absolutely making it happen.
Dean Gerrior (206 Jr | P2): You drove a masterful race and barely put a foot wrong all weekend. It takes a lot of maturity to show that level of patience and persistence on a tricky track, waiting for the race to come to you. You positioned yourself perfectly when it mattered most, culminating in a brilliant drive to bring home a well-deserved podium finish in P2!
Emmitt Eddolls (Sr T4 | P4): Making your debut in a senior class while simultaneously adapting to a brand-new chassis is an immense challenge for any driver. You kept your head down, kept digging, and fought through some early weekend gremlins like a true professional. Having it all come together for a fantastic charge up to 4th place shows exactly what you are capable of.
Jensen Willander (206 Jr | P7): Jensen put on a stellar performance and had great momentum all weekend. His drive to improve was clear, pushing hard on the tarmac and working closely with the team to analyze data and extract every last tenth of a second. Finishing P7 in an incredibly tough field is a great result. Keep your head up, buddy—you are right on the edge of the podium steps, and we can’t wait to keep building on this momentum.
Benson Hanberg (Mini Swift | P9): This weekend was a masterclass in sheer determination. Watching you shave off almost 3 seconds to match the blistering pace of the lead pack was incredible. While the final results sheet doesn't completely reflect the massive strides you made, you were right there in the thick of the fight, proving you can run with the best of them.
Andrew Jacobs (KA Jr | P13): Andrew is proving to be a quick study on the track. For a newer driver, the poise and composure you show out there is incredible. You listen intently to coaching feedback and put it right into action on the next lap, which is exactly what a team loves to see. Between your focus and your relentless off-track practice, it’s all paying off. You’re building a great foundation, buddy—keep grinding!
Carlton Griffis (206 Cadet | P15): This was your very first race weekend with the team, and boy, did you make an impression. Setting personal bests in almost every single session is a huge milestone and proof that your hard work is working. Keep that fiery passion and fantastic attitude, and the sky is the limit.
Koen Summers (KA SR P3): You did an outstanding job staying focused through the extreme elements all weekend. The confidence and sharp racecraft you displayed on the track were awesome to watch. Your dedication off the track and your commitment to this team are really starting to show in your performance. Great work, kid—keep that momentum going!
