Not sure this is still a timely social media craze, but I was going thru photos and thought we'd share "baby photos" of ourselves, and our first experiences with horses. Bob with his pony Susie, yes in the kitchen. His mother said don't do this again, after she took the photo. And then there's Suzy with Merry-Go-Round, a beautiful mare owned by her teacher and barn mom Fritzie Hammond-Mager (rip). So glad we had the chance to enjoy horses as kids and still do!

Bob gave our little barn some style, while adding some functional cooling. We tried livestock curtains, but they were very bland. These sun shades from Love Story were economical and versatile, while allowing any breeze to pass thru. Horses seem to like the change and I love the beautiful aqua color! I only close the east side in AM once everyone is tucked in their stalls during heat of the day.

Wow, this looks like so much fun but also hard work to prepare etc. Just the kind of expereince we'd enjoy. Hope to participate some day and kudos to Great Florida Cattle Drive & Reunion Rides for organizing.
