💬 Real Talk, Parents… How Did Your Athlete’s Weekend Actually Go?

Wins? Growth moments?
Or… frustration, limited opportunities, confidence dips?

No judgment here—just a real conversation.

Because here’s the truth most people don’t talk about enough:

👉 Practices and skill lessons alone aren’t enough anymore.

She finally got her moment.

Late in the game. ⏱️
Score tight.
Coach called her number.

You could see it…
this was the opportunity she had been waiting for. 👀

First play… mistake.

And in that moment, everything changed.

Not the game.
Her.

Her shoulders dropped.
She stopped talking.
You could literally watch her confidence leave her body. 💔

Next play?
She hesitated.

And just like that…
the opportunity was gone.

It wasn’t because she wasn’t talented.

It was because no one had ever taught her
what to do after the mistake.

That’s the part no one talks about.

Your athlete isn’t struggling because they aren’t good enough.
They’re struggling because no one ever taught them how to adapt, communicate, or manage the mental side of competitive sports. Most athletes who are struggling are caught in a predictable cycle:

They feel overlooked or confused by a coach’s decisions
They take it personally
Their emotions intensify
They lose confidence
They perform worse
They get overlooked again
The spiral continues

This is NOT a skill or effort problem.
This is a change management and communication problem.
