Looking back at the Colts Defense from last year, it was clear what was missing. They lacked a spearhead in their front 7, a player who could disrupt and cause chaos along the line of scrimmage. Thanks to General Manager Chris Ballard, In comes Deforest Buckner a 6’7 juggernaut, who has been a force on the gridiron since entering the league in 2016. In exchange for the 13th pick in this past years NFL draft the Colts were able to acquire the 26 year old cornerstone to their defense. Buckner has established himself as a leader in this team’s locker room by his hard work and effort which has been contagious to his teammates along the defensive line. His presence alone commands double teams every play, and is a nightmare for opposing coaches. This past week vs Houston, Buckner accounted for 4 total tackles and 2 sacks all while missing the entire week of practice and the previous week’s game due to covid protocol. Buckner deserves to be in the conversation for DPOY this year with the season he is having. So far this year, we agree he is at least the MVP of the Colts Defense who ranks #5 overall through 12 games. While the colts aren’t getting much love from the media, Deforest will have another chance to make his case for DOOY this Sunday. As the Colts take on the Raiders in this late season matchup of playoff hopefuls in the AFC.

A couple of us played at CSU-Pueblo and it’s always such an awesome feeling to see players you’ve played with continue this journey and make a name for themselves in the NFL. Are we witnessing the future of the Miami Dolphins?? Tua continues to impress with a 29-21 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. In his first three games as a starter, this man has thrown for 519 yards, 5 TDS and 0 interceptions with a passer rating of 104.8 😱

As long as he stays healthy, it looks like Miami got themselves a stud!!

It’s that time of the week again, Thursday Night Football is two days away! This week’s matchup of AFC South Rivals has the (5-3) Indianapolis Colts taking a trip down south to Nashville to take on the (6-2) Tennessee Titans. This is the first of two matchups this year between the teams. With first place in the division on the line, it is setting up to be a must win game for both teams. Tennessee coming off of a hard fought victory vs the Bears in week 9 (24-17). The Titans are feeling good about themselves winning 3 of their last 4 games. Tennessee is led on offense by the talented trio of Ryan Tannehill, AJ Brown and the thru 9 weeks the NFL’s #2 rushing leader Derrick Henry. In total the Titans are ranked 10th in total offense with 384.6 ypg. The Colts are going to have their hands full trying to stop this team’s dynamic offense. On the other end, Indy is coming off of a tough loss to the Ravens in week 9 (24-10) winning 2 of their last 3 games. The Colts are looking to bounce back in a short week this Thursday Night. Surprising to most people outside of Indiana, the Colts have been one of the best defenses in the league, tied for First with 11 interceptions and 3rd in opponents rushing allowed at 83.6 ypg thru 9 weeks. With Stars Darius Leonard, DeForest Buckner and Kenny Moore leading the way on defense, The Colts will be looking to rebound with their first division win of the year! was handed his first shutout in 19 seasons. It seemed as if he couldn’t get anything going and the defense was not prepared for what had in store. With such a rich rivalry between these two QBs, Drew Brees takes this meeting. Do you think this was a fluke loss by Tampa Bay or is this going to be more common? What a year it’s been for QBs! We’ve had both veterans and rookies stepping up and showcasing their skills at an elite level thus far this season. We were all curious if was a system QB or if he is indeed the 🐐, we questioned if was ever going to get his MVP title, or if still has it in him to continue playing as a top tier QB. Let’s not forget our rookie QBs like & who have been putting up unreal numbers and making a name for themselves in the league.
