Have you ever felt the terrible feeling of not being true to yourself? The older I get, the less tolerance I have for anything or anyone that is not authentic, not genuine. I have "smiled for the camera", or changed something about myself so that other people would be more comfortable with me. It feels awful, and we push that feeling down for the "benefit" of other people.

You will never have to do that with a horse. They help us to understand what it means to live in our own authenticity, because that is their very nature.

Their communicative body language is vastly different. One example is ears back and down, with body relaxed. For dogs, this signifies friendliness and submission. It is quite the opposite in horses!
