Basketball Recap: Delhi Bears vs. General Trass Panthers

A well-balanced attack led Delhi over General Trass in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Bears blew the Panthers out of the water with a 78-37 final score. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Delhi's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jatavius Hester, who posted 22 points. Kamarrio Banks was another key player, putting up 21 points.

Delhi's win bumped their record up to 10-17. As for General Trass, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-21 record this season. Playoff brackets will be released on Monday.

Basketball Recap: Delhi Bears vs. Delta Charter Storm… Senior night

Delhi won the last time they faced Delta Charter and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bears claimed a resounding 82-20 victory over the Storm. With the Bears ahead 50-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Delhi to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamarrio Banks, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Banks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Lusk, who posted nine points and five steals.

The win made it two in a row for Delhi and bumps their season record up to 9-17. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points over those games. As for Delta Charter, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-21.
Delhi wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 78-37 win against General Trass on the 14th. Delta Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Playoff brackets will be released on Monday.

Basketball Recap: Delhi Bears vs. St. Frederick Warriors
Courtesy of MaxPreps

Delhi's last matchup with St. Frederick could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Saturday.

Jayden Lusk, despite the final result, went 7-for-16 on his way to 18 points. Lusk has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jatavius Hester, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

Delhi has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for St. Frederick, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Delhi is set to square off against their familiar foe Block at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, St. Frederick will face off against rival General Trass at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
