Zeke has a really good move here… He gets a bit too long in the backswing, but does a great job of rotating his hips in the downswing … he also has really good hands with short wedge shots… I’m expecting good things from him!

Working with Tommy on getting a bit more hip rotation in the downswing— This will help get the feel of “unwinding ” into the ball and get the hands further forward at impact…, better compression, more power and overall better ball striking!

The Pure One iron is 50% smaller than a normal iron… It looks tiny, the ball is about the same size as the whole clubhead! It is great for simplified practice though… I find intuitive practice like this to be very beneficial…Just hit the Clubface!

Most folks rotate the upper body too early in the downswing- I was working on this very problem with Travis in the video; we were working on getting the hips rotating at the transition and trying to get the club working a little more from the inside on the downswing— generally this produces more centerface contact— We have more work to do, but it’s a good start

Hole out from 73 yards! It took me 12 shots, how many would it take you?

A playing lesson (on course) is where we really learn how to get the ball in the hole… We work on the golf swing on the range; we learn to score on the golf course… Jaedon hits a good drive down the middle here on #4!

Morgan has come a long way… When we started lessons he was as far “over the top” on the downswing as I’ve ever seen. Now at the top of the backswing he’s in a good position and he shallows the club nicely in the transition…. And he did it on a par 3 with water short during a playing lesson at Eagle Springs Golf, Recreation Center, and Restaurant… The shot wasn’t perfect (and we still have some work to do and issues to address) but it put him a good position to make a good score!

At Eagle Springs, I offer “on course” golf lessons where we play some holes and learn new shots, work on course management and get a real feel for strengths and weaknesses. Charlie hit a good shot here in the left rough on #4; we still have things to work on and our next goal is breaking 90!

It is very important for younger kids to make an athletic move and centerface contact in the golf swing… It’s ok if they get a little “off script” or unconventional in certain things IF the overall move is good— Watch Catherine take a small step forward with her lead foot, but notice also how she keeps her hands in front of the ball through impact with nice hip rotation into a nice finish….she hit this one good! (Sorry it only caught part of her backswing, I didn’t start recording in time!)
