The Track and Football Complex Project is a group of volunteers raising money to build a brand new, multi-use track and field facility for the children and community of Powell County The Deer Lodge Athletic Association – Track & Football Field Complex Project @ Ted Rule Stadium is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. A group of volunteers have come together to raise money for a multi-use track and fi

eld facility that will include a new track and turf for soccer, football, and track at the Ted Rule Stadium. The total fundraising goal is $2,250,000. All fundraising will be from donations and grant funding. There is no mill levy or bond associated with this project, and the schools will not be providing any funding. Upon completion, the improvements to the track and football field will be gifted to Deer Lodge School District #1. We are hopeful that, with your support, and dedicated volunteers, we can raise the money to fund this project, and give the children and community in Powell County a new, improved, track and field with additional sports opportunities. A heartfelt thank you Mountain Bluebird Presents for their generous donation to The DLAA Track & Football Complex!

We are incredibly grateful for your commitment to making a lasting impact in Deer Lodge. Thank you for helping build a stronger future—one project, one partnership, and one athlete at a time!

Mountain Bluebird Presents was founded for a couple of reasons.

One, to bring high caliber songwriter shows to the people of Powell County and anyone that would like to travel to Deer Lodge to attend. These shows feature our Montana-based songwriters and often include artist/songwriters, from Music Row in Nashville and beyond who have achieved commercial success with songs we all know from the radio.

Two- While doing that, it is important to us to support this community and the many charitable causes here in Powell County. Our May 23rd, 2026 show benefited The Deer Lodge Athletic Association, the Deer Lodge VFW Post 689 and the Deer Lodge Honor Guard.

We caught up with Ed McCarthy to present the check for the Deer Lodge Athletic Association, which will go toward the complete renovation of the Track & Football Complex at Ted Rule Memorial Field in Deer Lodge. We know this is a massive undertaking and every bit helps.

This check is possible after all the bills are paid, thanks to ticket sales and sponsors.
