🏁 RACE RECAP! 🏁

It was a long and eventful night at the track, but we couldn’t be more proud of Athena and Ryder. No matter what challenges came their way, they kept fighting and never gave up! 💜💚

Athena started 15th out of 23 karts. Qualifying didn’t go the way we had hoped, but she made up ground in her heat race and earned a 15th-place starting spot for the feature. Toward the end of the race, we noticed she was having an issue with the engine during a caution. Even with that challenge, Athena stayed determined, and brought it home with a 9th-place finish!❤️

Ryder started the night strong, lining up 5th out of 10 karts. He battled his way up to 4th before a spin sent him all the way to the back. The race was originally scheduled for 15 laps but was ultimately shortened to 10. We definitely could have used those extra laps to help him make up ground after the spin, especially since he only had one lap from the restart to work his way back through the field. But that’s racing for ya sometimes. Ryder never let the setback stop him. He fought his way back through the field and finished 5th! 👏🏻

We may not have brought home the finishes we were hoping for, but we couldn’t be more proud of these two young racers. They both faced challenges last night but they both showed incredible results in the few months they started racing the mini-wedges.

Ryder & Athena are racing today Beckley Motor Speedway! 🏁

We’ve been pretty quiet lately, we have had a lot of rain outs lately but that gave us plenty of time to be getting ready for the Mini Wedge World Championship !

Gonna be some great racing tonight with a whole crowd of kids. If you’re able to come out, come watch and show these kids how much they mean to the sport! ❤️

We are all loaded up and ready to go! Wish them luck! 💜💚🏁

Well, our night didn’t quite go as planned. Lake Cumberland Speedway Dirt Racing ended up getting canceled, so we made the trip back home and headed to Beckley Motor Speedway instead. 🏁

Ryder started 3rd and took off, leading the first couple of laps before getting caught up in a spin that sent him to the tail. He never gave up and fought his way back through the field to finish 3rd! So proud of how hard he drove this entire weekend!

Athena had 12 karts in her class and started from the tail. She worked her way up to a 4th place finish. She was still a little shaken up from her practice wreck the day before, so she wasn’t quite giving it 100% yet, but she’s getting her confidence back every time. She was ready to go racing before we got to the track, so I know it won’t take her long before she’s back to herself.

What a night for us last night! 🏁

Ryder brought home another 1st place last night!! 🏆🎉

He has been on a roll lately, and we’re so proud of how hard he’s been working. He’s been gaining so much confidence and giving it his all every time he goes out.

Athena had a rough night after her wreck during practice. It might have slowed her up a little, but she still went back out there and brought home a 4th place finish. I’m proud of her for getting back in the kart and not giving up.
