Big night for Meigs Middle Softball last night as they came out of the losers bracket to reach the championship of the East TN State tourney. They defeated rival Rhea County 14-1 and avenged their loss to Maryville, beating them twice 5-1 and then 5-3 in the tie-breaker shootout. They will face Farragut at 6:00 Thursday for the championship at McMinn County High School. Would love a big crowd to come support these girls Thursday.

Big night for MMS Softball! 🧡🖤

Meigs Middle playing its best softball of the year right now, for sure.

The Lady Tigers were 0-for-4 vs. nemesis Rhea Middle heading into this, but they finally get those Lady Eagles in dominant fashion in the elimination round of the East Tennessee Fall State Tournament.

UPDATE: Meigs Middle topped Maryville Junior High 5-1 to force the international-rules tiebreaker (1-inning shootout) for the berth in Thursday's championship game.

UPDATE 2: The Lady Tigers win the tiebreaker 5-3 over Maryville and will play in the title game vs. Farragut on Thursday at McMinn County High School!
