On Sept. 4th, with 44:4 seconds left in the game, #14 gets the ball to #4 for the game winning touchdown as #11 cheers him to the end zone! Extra point is GOOD 🙌🏼 making the score 44-40 EAGLES, creating a 4 point lead to VICTORY!

💙🦅 Forever Eagles 🦅💙

Tonight was about so much more than football. 🏈 The Decatur Eagle Booster Club had the honor of recognizing the Christensen and McKinnon families and celebrating the lives of two incredible young men — Nolan Christensen #11 💙 and Treb McKinnon #4 💙.

Nolan and Treb were the kind of boys who left their mark far beyond a jersey number. 🫶 They were sons, brothers, friends, teammates and Eagles 🦅 who were loved beyond measure. Both were amazing young men, all the way around, and our community is better because they were part of it. 💙

We may never understand why their time here was so short. 🙏 We just know God sure knew this world needed Nolan and Treb, and somehow, He needed them even more. 🤍🕊️

Their jerseys may now hang in remembrance, but their stories, their smiles, their impact and the love surrounding them will continue to live on in this community. 💙🦅

To the Christensen and McKinnon families, we hope you always know that your boys will never be forgotten. 🤍

A huge THANK YOU to our AMAZING families: Anna Yruegas, Tara Koehler, Sara Sample, and Andrea Braziel for preparing awesome Brotherhood Team Dinners for our Decatur Eagles and making sure these guys were fueled up and ready to go! 🍽️🏈

We are so grateful for the families and community members who continue to pour into our players and make traditions like Brotherhood Dinner so special. 💙🤍
