Sahiris De Jesus got MAD this weekend and went 5 for 5, 5 runs, 7 RBI, 5 BB, Solo HR and a Grand Slam.
Jalissa Prosper pitched against a collective team. The righty gave up seven hits and seven runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out 14 and walking none. Game high for this season.
Myla Reid stepped in the circle first for MAD Xtreme vs Oviedo Xtreme. The pitcher surrendered two hits and two runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking four.
Notable batting performances from this weekend’s tournament were: Buggy Ruggiero (6 for 7 with 2 doubles and a triple, 8 runs, 3 RBIs, 3 BB), Sloane Clifton (5 for 5, 3 runs, 2 RBIs, 2 BB), and Jalissa Prosper (5 for 8, 6 runs, 3 RBIs, 1 BB). Ava Bailey also came up with a big time 1 RBI triple against the Collective team. MAD Xtreme had 21 total true base steals throughout the weekend lead by De Jesus and Ruggiero with 4 each, and Prosper close behind with 3.
WVAC MAD Xtreme went 2-1-1 for the weekend, falling just shy of the championship game.
