💔 Remembering Dolly Parton | 1946–2026

Today, the world lost an incredible entertainer, philanthropist, and one-of-a-kind human being with the passing of Dolly Parton at age 80.

At Northern Illinois CPR and First Aid, there is one small connection to Dolly that we thought was especially fitting to share today.

Her legendary song “Jolene” has long been recognized as having the right beat for Hands-Only CPR — falling within the recommended 100–120 compressions per minute.

That means a song Dolly gave the world more than 50 years ago has even found a place in teaching people a rhythm that can help save a life.

Dolly spent her life bringing joy to millions, helping others, supporting children and families, and leaving this world better than she found it.

Today, we'll remember an incredible woman — and maybe play “Jolene” just a little louder.

Rest in peace, Dolly. ❤️

We’re excited to announce that the Kingston Police Department has signed up to use our NICPR HeartSafe Monitor AED management tool!

HeartSafe Monitor helps organizations stay on top of their AED program by tracking inspections, pad and battery expiration dates, and overall AED readiness—helping make sure lifesaving equipment is ready when it’s needed most.
