Put on your best Easter gear and head to beach in front of the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell for the annual Easter Beach Run Saturday, April 19 2025

This festive, Easter-themed beach run was established in 1967 by the City of Daytona Beach. The race was first held on Easter Sunday to provide an activity for visiting college students and is now the oldest consecutive footrace in the State of Florida. Now the race is annually the Saturday before Easter Sunday. Participants of all ages and fitness levels can enjoy a scenic view while traveling ou

A Remarkable Story from William Labonte: 33 Consecutive Easter Beach Runs!

“I’m incredibly proud to share that I’ve completed 33 consecutive Easter Beach Runs in Daytona Beach from 1990 to 2024! What started as a tradition back in 1990—without even realizing I was starting one—has turned into a cherished part of my life. Each race marks a milestone in this amazing journey. In 2024, I almost ended my streak, but I ran once more in honor of my granddaughter, who was battling cancer. This year, I will run again, keeping her in my heart as we continue to hope she will still be with us come race day.” – William Labonte
